I set up the Para in the late 90s for a USPSA Limited gun, and ran it for a long time. I’ve been shooting in other divisions in recent years, but it is still capable of shooting better than I can.

your class 2 25 yd target looks like my class 1 15 yd target lol, I think I'll try again before submitting. Of all my entry guns I have done the worse with the G23.

If it makes you feel any better, it took more than a couple attempts to get those. ;)

I pulled the USP40 out of the back of the safe today. I like it well enough. I just don’t shoot it all that often. Not the best 25-yard grouping, though.

Dig those Van Halen grips! :D

btw next time you see my Beretta posted above it will have rear adjustable sight I ordered from Beretta. I'm making it a 6 o clock hold on target gun and my groups are gonna shrink compared to the drive the dot sighting I have to use on it now. Target above was my best of out of eight tries with a couple brands of ammo, my other Beretta did better with 124gr, this one does better with 115gr so far.

I wanted to try Fiocchi ammo but am out of it right now.

will the adjustable target rear work with the standard front? will it get low enough?

Didn't think of that I'll have inquire into that, if I have to I'll get it modified like Garret's gun in this thread post 32 page 2.

100_2661.JPG Glock 23 .40 S&W I have had since 1997 I guess it's a Gen 2? My home defense gun, but target shooting anything past 10 yards I loose it. My friend has a Glock 21 with lightened trigger and I can shoot it good, but this factory trigger not so good. I also think for me a longer slide and barrel does better for me target shooting than the smaller G23.

I noticed for me for this Glock using tip of finger on trigger does better than the normal a little more finger because other tries groups were going more right of bulls and I'm a lefty shooter.

This thread and competition is discriminatory as it only allows LEOS All no LEOS and snowflakes feel disrespected. How many 100's of 1911 variations are there??
Why can't I shoot my CZ, they are used by LEOS all over the world:neener:

I can shoot my CZ 1911 custom but not My CZ 75 9mm??

Happy Labor Day!

I brought out a couple of 1911s today. I bought a Springfield 1911-A1 back in ‘95, and did some work to it. I used it for bowling pin shoots for a long time.

I was reminded why bullseye shooters use SWC bullets. Those big ‘ol RN bullets don’t make real distinct holes in the target. They more just tear as they push their way through. I ended up scoring while they were still stapled up, since I could at least make out the holes in the target backer.

This gun is a little loose at this point, but still seems to do a decent job. I was shooting 230 gr. LRN bullets over a charge of Win 231.

So I brought out one of mi wife’s Colt Delta Elites (she has two of them). This one has a light recoil spring, appropriate for .40 power loads.

I had brought some .40 ammo to use, but grabbed the wrong box. It was some blaster ammo I’d loaded with some pulled bullets. They go bang, but aren’t the most accurate. The gun feeds and fires .40 ammo with zero issues, even with the 10mm chamber.

So what I do have shown were loaded in 10mm cases, but are .40-level loads. I have a 180 gr. JHP loaded with 5.0 gr. of Win 231, which gives around 890 fps.

So you can count this for score as a “.40 equivalent”, or just count it as a fun run, since it’s not one of the listed calibers. I’ll run actual .40 S&W ammo when I shoot the other Colt Delta.

look down on page one, I amended the rules and included the CZ 75 , so please enter. If I read your post correct, anybody can enter not just a actual law enforcement officer member, just have to use a gun listed that are current most popular issued guns to LEO.

Here’s Colt Delta #2.

For thisnoneninwas shooting some 200 gr. LTC bullets in .40 cases. It was one of the loads I used to use in USPSA when heavy bullets were all the rage.

Sorry, I missed that. If our range (swampland) is ever "above water" I will give it a go,

Hopefully you are not on the east coast, Dorian is looking mean. I'm around Tampa land so we got lucky so far.

GarrettJ,

I humbly suggest that you consider retiring your staple gun, and utilize tape only for repairing targets.

Go buy yourself some 3M spray adhesive, Super 77 is what I use. Glue your targets to the cardboard backer. Not only will it clean up your shot holes with round nose bullets, but eliminate ripping of the target as well. Targets last longer, score more easily, and you can put them up faster. The wind will also never again blow a target off the cardboard.

If you go back and look at the target I posted (unofficial though it may be) you will notice no tape or staples. It’s glued to the cardboard. Behold the clean shot holes!

I have come to realize doing these challenges that past 15 yds with a shorter barrel auto with fixed sights getting good hits is challenging on a target like the B-16, at least we know where we stand after trying.
