Should I buy this?

If you don't own an AR, definite YES on the purchase - To me, no brainer as you can get CMMG 22LR conversion kit with 3 mags for $159 and enjoy plinking with grandkids all day for cheap - https://www.primaryarms.com/cmmg-22lr-ar15-conversion-kit-bravo-3-25-round-magazines

I recommend Armscor 36 gr copper plated for cheap plinking ammo (less than $16.50 for 500 shipped) - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...15-20-500-shipped.853059/page-2#post-11226086

And you can use EndoMag to shoot 9mm to save money over .223/5.56.

Enjoy! And welcome to the AR club.

I'm doing the deal tommorow
Congratulations!

Unless you want an AR, I'd say no.
I bought one just because... I ran about a thousand rounds through it. Replaced the trigger with a 2 stage. Ran another 500 through it and decided I like my bolt guns better. It collects dust most of the time.

Three things;
1 You can easily get your money back.
2 You can very likely make money, possibly a good amount.
3 If the .gov comes for your gun give them that one.

You can't go wrong.

I was planning on having 1 for me and 1 for the missus. That’s become 5, a few stripped lowers and a bunch of parts lying about with more on the way arriving Saturday. Most of those take-offs or milspec extras will be JIC baggies and I’ll continue to experiment until I find each rifle's ideal mix.

The real fair warning is that revamping what you have can be far more expensive than buying one with features you really want. Then the paltry sum paid becomes real money.

Gotta start somewhere. The price is right. Use it, find out its strengths and weaknesses, and modify as desired or use it for trade stock.

my DTI midlegnth lightweight shot the best group I ever have, 1.060 at 100 legitimate yards, with Iron sights. I don't think I could do it again, but I bet it could with a better shooter. Also 1400 rounds, no malfunctions. I highly recomend them. No one I know has had an issue. But I had great luck with M&A's as well, so maybe I'm lucky? Very good deal at 350.

Is the brand known to be better than some by ATI? A retired neighbor (US Army) bought his ATI brand-new in the box from a retail gun shop, about two years ago. He has Never read up on guns before buying them.
I watched one malfunction in every three or so rounds. The problem was during extraction or ejection. Brand-new US-made brass-cased ammo.

He then switched to my Maadi AK and enjoyed a problem-free gun..

I've used ATI receivers, but never a whole gun, so can't comment beyond that their poly receivers are well made, tho longevity may not be fantastic.

I've used a few Delton ARs enough to say that they are good products for the cost, and I'd take a lightly used Delton at 350 over an equally priced new ATI.
