~17 years ago when I took advantage of the 624rd cases of '91 Danish AMA M2 Ball ammo loaded in enblocs & bandos that Dan's Ammo had in-stock, I also got one 600rd case of '62 Danish AMA M2 Ball ammo loaded in 5rd strippers & bandos.
Does anyone here know for sure whether or not the primer compound in the 1962 M/48 rounds is chlorate ("corrosive") in nature?
1962 is, roughly, a decade after the US stopped using chlorate primers in their small arms ammo, but I do not know if the Danes had followed suit by 1962.
Thanks.
Oh, and please, no responses telling me how easy it is to (pre)clean the "corrosive salts" as I already know all about it.
If I can determine that this ammo sports "non-corrosive" primers I intend to use some in a project with a unique and verrrry-finely frosted bore on an M1917 Eddystone.
