If I am shopping for a handgun, my first interest is; "how is the trigger" ? ? If I'm not happy with the dry-fire, I move on.
Compared to what?

Lord not this again...Have we forgiven SA for the Illinois shenanigans?
How about Smith & Wesson? They never repudiated the HUD agreement.Have we forgiven SA for the Illinois shenanigans?
Hey, we forgave Ruger for Bill's statement that "no law-abiding citizen needs a magazine that holds more than 10 rounds."
I sure do....YMMV.I will keep my P365 but honestly since I don't pocket carry I'd rather carry something a little more substantial in my hand like my 3953. I don't see any difference carrying one or the other.

Love how threads go so far off topic so fast. What is it we are comparing again? I think it was the Sig365 vs Hellcat.
I did find one video that said they designed the magazine first and then the gun around it. I think I may "weight" for when a smaller, lighter gun comes out with 15 rds. Why settle for just 11?
*weight was spelled correctly for the effect.

I have been promised one out of the first shipping date.
I am lending it to John Boch of Guns Save Lives and who also writes for TTAG and Gun News for a review and comparison to the 365. I will be helping in the testing, but the article will be his. We will be testing both guns with a variety of self-defense loads and holsters (speed testing draw and hits). Ranges will be 3 yard, 5 yard, 10 yard, and 25 yard. The emphasis will be on close quarters self-defense from concealed carry.
The review should be available by late October.
My first handgun was Springfield XD 4' service model... This was before the they offered the XDM, XDS, Mod2, etc... Still have that gun to this day... I purchased it because I had small children, and I liked the idea of having extra layers of security with the passive grip safety and cocking indicator. I have a soft spot in my heart for XD's I guess similar to how many feel about Glock and EVERYTHING they put out. Some people may complain about looks, bore axis, politics, etc, but, unlike with some companies that shall not be named, the one thing you don't hear about is them being problematic, unreliable, or having bad customer service... With the exception of a hiccup when the XDs was first released, they have a pretty great track record. They released a few more new platforms and updates since then without any problems...
With that said, I'm glad there are more options. I was interested in the P365 when I first heard of it's pending release; however, that quickly faded with all the initial issues it had... After that, I lost interest completely. I probably would not have ever purchased one unless I came across a steal of a deal. With my admiration for SA semiautos, I'm really interested in getting my hands on one of these and a XDe...
I have a tendency to get very excited of any new gun model that comes out. My first impulse is I cannot wait to buy one. About 24hrs later that impulse had died down. Then the desire just wanes from there. Then I just wait until I can shoot one. Then in most cases, I realize how much I love the guns I do own and which I spent a long time before purchase. I love one of my Micro9mm's so well, that after trying out some new models, I saw a price on the discontinued model and bought a second gun for a heck of a deal. Actually bought two.
Take a $500.00 gun. Sounds great, a few nice features, but then add the cost of magazines. (all my EDC Pistols have at least 12), then a holster. In most cases, just not worth the purchase.
Same here... Unless the cost drops to $400 or less and the 5 mag rebate applies, I probably will not purchase one. Another thing I hate is when I jump the gun by purchasing a new release only for the manufacture to release the same model with a different finish or features I rather have... For example like those who brought the Glock 43x and 48 only for them to come out with the more preferred black slide version months later...I have a tendency to get very excited of any new gun model that comes out. How can you tell, without the "Grip Zone"?
