NRA declares victory in legal battle against San Francisco

Continuing the suit has great appeal. But, functionally, SF is broke, when they lost the suit, NRA would have to run the place. That's assuming a broke CA didn't jump on the train with SF to get a bail out.

Give them the Tom Metzger treatment. Just attach a bunch of property in satisfaction of the judgment and have the Sheriff load it onto a trailer and haul it away.

I hope they continue the suit. Looks to me like the mayor is already trying to walk back the memo.
SF Mayor Breed said:
"[W]e need to hold organizations like the NRA accountable for their obstruction to real reforms to make our communities us safer," she said. "While this non-binding resolution has no force of law behind it, this doesn’t take away from the fact that the NRA continues to shamefully stand in the way of every single piece of gun control legislation that can and will save lives.”
She's trying to avoid culpability, while still getting the message out that if one wanted to avoid doing business with anyone associated with the NRA, the city would look the other way.

The real question, at least in my mind, was what caused them to cry "uncle" and how do we keep doing that?

I'm guessing their lawyers told them to grow a brain...that it would cost the city a fortune to defend the lawsuits and they would lose every time anyway. Always about money, in the end.
