One of the great Carbines of all time, The Spanish Destroyer

There have been a few discussions on the forums about a 9mm bolt action. I think its a great idea and am jealous of your find. I do have a Marlin Camp Carbine and really enjoy shooting it. /QUOTE]

That Marlin Camp carbine is one I have to get sometime.. I like the look and the feel..

I put a 17 pound spring in my camp carbine and also have the recommended 21 pound spring for it. I need to shoot the 17 pound spring and see how it does. The 11 pound spring from the factory is reported to be too light and some get cracked stocks from recoil.

I think if I installed the 21 pound spring I could load light 9mm lead bullet loads that would not cycle the action and use it like a straight pull bolt action. Great for quiet small game hunting and just the sort of experiment I like to do.:D

If you find one for less than $500 pick it up. They are fun little rifles. I have had two of them. We shoot them from my buds front porch at a 3.5" pipe on the far side of his pond that was formally used to hold a feeder to feed catfish. Shooting off hand the record so far is 8 out of 10 shots being hits. I have shot it out to 200 yards and could keep my rounds on a mans chest at that range. But a hundred yards or less it should be a deadly little gun.

So does everyone else. But the 45acp is a low pressure round compared to the 9mm and doesn't benefit from the longer barrel like the 9mm round does. And I have 20 round (actually22 round) mags for mine. Plus it uses the same mags as the S&W model 59 series guns or the same mags as my S&W model 915 I paid $37 for with holster and mag pouch and two extra factory 15 round mags. What a combo.

I am not sure but don't think you need a heavier mag for the 45acp.

I bought a Destroyer some years ago. I had it rebarreled to 9x19, and use it for a suppressor host. It’s very quiet with subsonic ammo.

I’ve got several magazines, but you can cut a catch in the back of a 1911 9mm mag and use those as well.

I have always wanted one, but could never seem to hook up with one. I bought a Ruger 77/357 to have a nice, compact, lightweight carbine.

Might be fun. The Armscore 22 TCM has been remade into a cool 9x19 rifle -- do you have a donor rifle in mind for the 10mm?
I was actually thinking about the 22tcm rifle, or a Howa mini action. I had full intention of doing a 10mm bolt action from the arisaka action I recently bought, but decided I would go with something with an easier adaptation.
