Recoil with a 300grn Gold Dot 50AE.
Its not bad, but, if I had to choose I would keep the 44 mag recolvers.
The D.E. gets alot of attention, but the revolvers get shot more.
Almost feels like im gripping a 2x4 with the Deagle.

I would be all over a .454 and .480 Deagle conversions!!
The only issue there is cartridge length. The .357, .44 and .50 are all the same length, and fitting them in the mag is the cause of the huge grip. Going to a longer cartridge like the .454 or .480 would make for an even bigger grip.

Umm do you know that the 480 Ruger is the same length as a 44 mag right?, methinks you're confusing the 480 Ruger with the 475 Linebaugh.

All I know...
is that those fire balls are on the small side.

The gas piston operation will open with enough gun powder, wrist dimensions or strength is not applicable.
(other than not hitting yourself in the face with it...:D)

Moving a four hundred grain bullet at twelve is not as cool as a three hundred grain at fifteen.

The torque comes from accelerating the bullet out of the barrel.

Magnum Research's customer service is Ruger-esque and top notch. Their pricing is half what Khar Arms charges for Eagle parts. Every time I e-mail them they return correspondence within 24 hours.

The piston is a wear item. It will break around fifteen hundred rounds. Get two.

My Eagle hates red dots. ;)

I am a carpenter, I like holding 2x4s.:D

If a human wants one, no other pistol can replace it. There is only one Eagle.

Some humans use rimfire to practice for service pistols. I use a Fourth Five Auto +P for low recoil practice for my Eagle.:)

The recoil is, stout. But, given the magnitude of the round fired, the Eagle can only be described as a pussy cat. One handed use is easy, as a seven pound handgun can be anyway...

If buying one is an actual consideration, I implore you, waste not another day without one!

That is a beautiful Eagle, @Rembrandt.

I have often wanted the basket weave checking put to my stainless, after the bottom picatinniy gets milled off.
(it's the newer SS.)

Have you seen the case color hardened ones?
Gorgeous!
I picture mine with a Thujya burl grip...:)

Could be. In that case the .480 should be possible. The .454 would still require a redesign of the grip.

Kahr needs to offer ... 4.25"-5" barrel models and/or barrel conversion kits...
While that sounds good, it would not be a straight conversion to go from the full-size MK-XIX to the shorter barrel of the lightweight L5.

There are dimensional differences between the two that make it so the parts won’t interchange. Aside from the shorter dust cover on the frame, the other parts unique to the L5 include the barrel (besides being shorter, the locking lug is different), recoil springs, slide, bolt, and gas piston. Maybe the firing pin too.

So while it sounds good, it wouldn’t be quite so straightforward as a barrel swap.

Well a 4.25" barrel model would be an entire new model, but 5" barrel conversion might be feasible with existing models.
