Debur the feed lips. If they have a sharp corner on the fore most corner of the feed lips round it. The single biggest problem with 450 mags is the feed lips digging into the side of the rounds causing feed issues.

I picked up a Ruger Scout Rifle in this caliber, bolt action. Been reloading for it, trying some 300 gr hollowpoint along with the 250 gr. Just put a 2x scope on the fore rail, never
used a "scout" type rifle before so this should be interesting.

Thank you, I'll look into it.

Edit: I took a file to the feed lips and the front of the magazine where the semi-circle cutout was. Also removed the extra follower that was installed at the bottom of the magazine. So far feeds perfectly. These are AR Stoner magazines.

I was looking at that particular gun in that caliber. A range report and review on THR would be great if you get a chance to get around to it.

I also run a 450BM upper on an A2 lower using an EOtech in from of a 3x flip zoom. I get touching groups at 100 yards. Great accurate round. Getting the right followers in the magazine is the key to making these rifles run like clockwork.

I did sight in the rifle the other day, with that new scope for 100 yards. Will roll some more cartridges for it this weekend, then back to the range to double check everything. Will take some pics at that time and share the results, it is a fun gun to shoot.
