Agc American Gun Craft Diablo 12 gauge! Black powder of course!

Bear with me because I'm kind of new to these chat forums. But I got something in the mail the other day pretty cool that I think a lot of you might enjoy. Yes, it came in the mail for some sure most of you already know I didn't go through a gun store to get this one because.... blackpowder. The finish on this is superb. I'm a gunSmith and this is definitely a very good blueing job. I'm intrested it all of your feedback. Also I plan to have some fun with this so what kind of stuff would you guys be intrested in seeing it do? I've got everything from birdshot to pumpkin balls on their way so this time next week I should have some interesting feedback about this little 6" barreled Diablo.

A shorty Mad Max-like pistol seems cool, but I like for my guns to be useful too. I’d be curious about the pattern at 15 yds to see if it can be used for small game. Penetration (or velocity) would be a nice way to see just how effective projectiles might be.

I certainly like the price but comparing it to the Pedersoli Howdah leaves it wanting a bit, especially comparing plastic to wood.

Yup same here.. Fun is fun, but without real world applications its just a waste.. Would like to see both hunting and defense possibilities with lil' Mad Max Jr LoL

With such short barrels I’m skeptical it has much oomph at all. Maybe if 4F were used with a lighter shot load.

Well they are supposed to use 40 grains of 2f and a half-ounce of shot, so that would be 10 pellets of #4 buck...each of which is similar to being hit with a .22 round.... coming from 6" barrels, it would be akin to a lot of defensive pistols pre ACW era. However many of those pre ACW pistols used a single ball, so one might load both barrels with a .660 ball, and toss a full ounce of lead at the adversary. You'll end up with a slower but heavier and larger projectile than a .45 Colt BP load.

LD

Here is an unboxing video. As soon as the ammunition comes in the mail I will start testing out several different loads and really let you guys know if it has any real world practicalities or not. In my opinion anything is good to have for a backup. There's never enough backup.

Backups aren’t that big though...

How many people have been complaining about having paid a year or so ago and still have not received theirs? I’ve also read of a few people given the runaround when they’ve asked about their waiting purchase. Anyone else?

Isn't fun enough? I don't consider any of my blackpowder handguns anything but fun.

Every gun I own is fun.. But every gun I own also has SOME real world application or other... Including my BP guns.

I HAVE wondered however, if sometimes Im not just making up applications for some of them just cos I like em! LoL

When did you place your order?

I will be moving up to much bigger loads by the end of the week. I told you guys I would post up some footage as soon as I got my ammunition. So here it is!

Odd that I ordered one in March that still hasn't arrived; if you got one in 4 weeks.

Also odd that your video has already made it on to their website.

Also odd that the only posters to have supposedly received these have very low post counts on the forums they've posted to.

After originally saying 4-6 weeks last March, I emailed them and got this reply on August 30th:

Your pistol is completed and currently processing through testing, QC, packing and shipping. We will be contacting you within approximately 5-15 days and providing a tracking number for your shipment.

Obviously that 5-15 days has come and gone.

I'm about ready to call the FBI and ATF and FTC on this.

Sorry it was more like 6 weeks. I didn't really keep close track of it because I knew others were waiting as well.
Didn't realize it was on their website. I'm not too surprised because there arent very many videos out there. I try to make my vids short and very comprehensive. Was wandering why it was getting so many views. Yay!
I am primarily on Facebook and my post counts are extraordinary there. I am new to this forum but I'm not sure that should be considered odd.

I’d like to see some testing that’s more realistic. A firecracker can make for an exciting show but not from a distance. Seems as though the shot didn’t penetrate initially giving the ability to whack it from the backside which then made it look impressive. 24 inches from the target doesn’t make for much of an impression or a useful tool.

It was literally my 1st couple of shots. I'm starting off with super light loads because that's the smart thing to do. Obviously I got to set them backup again and shoot them twice. That's no movie magic.
I think there's gonna be a lot of non believers out there when I start posting pictures of the squirrels that I take out. There are many times when I've got a squirrel too close to me from my regular shotgun. I personally got this thing to have a lot of fun with it but if I've got to prove it as practical I will

I’m most certainly curious. But I am doubtful with such short barrels. In my mind 15 yds would be the minimal effective range for rabbits and squirrels and such.

I’d like to see it pitted against (pattern and penetration tested) the Pedersoli Howdah with almost twice the barrel length. Or even a 28 ga Lyman Plains Pistol, which for the price I’m considering but with a screw-in choke as I can’t find anyone who jut chokes anything smaller than 20 ga.

I ordered one first of March, got it by ups about week and half ago, it is a thing of beauty, very well made . I'm up here here in northeast Washington State, in a very small town so I'm haveiing trouble finding wads, shot etc. I'm new to black powder so if anyone could steer me the direction to get some stuff so I could shoot this bad boy, I sure would appreciate the help. It is a very well made piece in my opinion.. Looks awesome. The folks at ABC were very patient with me bugging them every couple weeks amour check ing on the status of it. Thanks again for any help.
