I liked my original LC9 okay. The trigger was stiff though (and long, IIRC), so I eventually traded it towards something else.

The LC9s pro is getting to be relatively inexpensive. I got this one for $273 plus shipping and FFL. I'm not sure if that's a great deal or not, but it seemed reasonable.

The trigger is nice, way better than the original: it's pretty light and has a short travel distance. The sights are plenty large for a small pistol, and are easy to see. The grip is thin enough that I would wonder how the recoil will be, but I don't recall that it was bad with the original. I'm glad that it doesn't have a safety. I don't like safeties on carry pieces, and I don't use them on range toys, either.

If I like it enough, it might become part of my carry rotation.

If you own one, comments and advice would be appreciated. Where is the best place to get a spare magazine? Does anyone have recommendations for holsters, or for ammo that it prefers (or doesn't prefer)?

Dig it!

I found decent deals for mags on eBay actually but that was 2 years ago.

Recoil is nothing bad.

I have one with the Crimson Trace laser. It is a nice carry gun, very easy to conceal either IWB or OWB. Trigger is excellent.
The slide finish isn't very resistant to corrosion, not sure but I think some of the later ones were stainless.
Somewhat high bore axis makes recoil a little snappy but not uncomfortable. Very reliable with everything I run through it BUT, it will misfire if primers are not perfectly seated. I had a batch of reloads with not quite fully seated primers, it would misfire on about half of them. All my other nines shot them fine.
While it is a nice pistol, my Sig P365 does everything a little better.

I love mine. I put a Hogue grip sleeve on it for a bit more palm swell. Fits nice now. Been very reliable. Quit carrying it because of the previously mentioned corrosion on the slide. Great carry gun though.

Do not have the Pro,but do have the standard. Has been a really nice gun and never picky on any ammo always reliable. Personally feel the trigger is too light for me personally. I found it shot very similar to the Sig 365, in fact can see a lot of similarities. Recoil about the same, although the 365 was a little less but not by much. I have true Glo sights on mine. Love the Mitch Rosen Holster. I have a dozen magazines and all the Italian made. Also you might look at the Azula holster. Nice quality for less money than the Mitch Rosen. One of the better guns made by Ruger. Always loved the slim design. It just has a certain coolness about it.I always like the Grip Stipling. Nice and firm.
Congrats, you made a great purchase. $275 is a great price for a nice gun.

My son has a LC9sPro-- it's his EDC and he likes it a lot. The blued slide does corrode easily, as will the exposed trigger. Son has sweat that will corrode anything so we had his slide and trigger coated (xdman.com - used GunKote) and that took care of the problem. He also uses a Hogue grip sleeve, and that works quite well on the thin grip frame. It shoots anything we put in it. You'll like it I'm sure!

Holster from https://www.cooksholsters.com/iwb-holster-w-adjustable-belt-clip/. They are within easy driving distance of us, so we picked it up there, owner even adjusted the holster a bit for a great fit!

First that was a pretty good deal I would say. I have the LC9 but it began giving me problems with the tigger I would pull it all the way back and it would stop at the rear of the trigger guard and i would have to shake it to get it to go off, I called ruger and was told to take it to a gunsmith. I wasn't going to do that but i really like the size of the pistol and I got the Mitch Rosen OWB holster you can buy on shopruger it a fine holster i recommend it. I began looking for an LC9S but couldn't fine one neither the pro or the regular so I got a EC9S same thing just some cost cutting things done to it. So you was lucky to fine one or maybe they are making them again.

Thanks for the tip, 460Shooter.

I just now ordered two brand-new factory Ruger mags for $38, with free shipping. :)

I carried the Lc9s for a while as well, and very well may still be carrying it had it not been for the aforementioned corrosion resistance, or lack there of, I should say.

My wife currently uses the ec9s but it is the fully fde cerakoted version so no issues with the finish there.

Great guns, just need a better finish or a stainless slide, both of which I am certain would raise that price tag.

Last I heard the LC9s Pro had been discontinued.
I liked mine enough that I found another for a backup.
The LC9s (not Pro) is only shown as a distributor exclusive on Ruger's site.
The EC9s which is essentially the LC9s (not Pro) but manufactured at a lower price point is still available.

All that is as of the last time I checked which was around a year ago. A quick google seems to confirm situation is still the same.

"Last I heard the LC9s Pro had been discontinued."

Yeah, I read on this very board that they were discontinued or about to be discontinued, and that their prices were pretty low as a result.

That's when I started looking for one. :)

I finally got it out to the range today. I was pleased. It had one malfunction: one round failed to fire, even though the primer was dented. I assume it was a faulty round, since that was the only malfunction out of 50 or more rounds (I didn't really keep track). The original magazine and the two I bought from ebay all worked fine.

This was the last pistol I shot out of the six that I brought. I was getting tired and my hands were a bit shaky. Even under those circumstances, its accuracy was very good.

It fits my XXL hands surprisingly well, with the pinky extension base plate. I tried holding it with the flush base plate, and I don't think I could shoot it very well that way.

I dry fired it just a few times after I got it, and the trigger felt really nice. It felt even better at the range this morning. The trigger is short, crisp, and fairly light.

I like the sights. They aren't large enough to snag easily, but they are large enough for me to see them and use them easily.

The recoil didn't bother me at all. There was a certain amount of muzzle flip, which is to be expected from such a small and light 9mm pistol, but it was easily manageable and not at all painful.

Even with me being tired and my hands being kind of shaky, I shot a very respectable group with it. Its POI seems to be just a little bit to the right of the POA. I'll have to take it to the range a few more times with different kinds of ammo to see whether or not that's consistent. If so, it looks like the rear sight is adjustable for windage.

I definitely like it. I'm not sure if I'll end up liking it better than my Glock 43, but it will be fun to shoot them side by side and see how they compare. :)

I purchased my LC9S Pro from Gander Outdoors last year for $250.00. Tax included. I love the light trigger and the handling of this Ruger. I have never had a malfunction. It is the same size as my Bersa .380cc, so my Bersa has been retired. My LC9S Pro is now my every day carry gun.

I look on the LC9s like any specialized tool I use. It does a good job for what I bought it for when they first came out (paid $350). It is light, accurate, reliable and very concealable. It is not a pistol I would use for recreational or target shooting, but,it is always the one I walk out the door with for my EDC
