Multi tools !

They certainly are handy and I have a few around of various sizes for whatever may crop up.

My Leatherman's knife blade is incredibly sharp.

I was heartbroken when my original Leatherman tool finally broke after about twenty years of daily carry. Replaced it with a Leatherman Fuse and it gets the job done. If I am wearing trousers then I am wearing my Leatherman. I probably use it more than any other tool I own.

It's not that it's better than any other tool, it is after all a multi-tool, so purpose built tools usually are better. What it is though is always on me whereas purpose built tools I would have to go get out of the tool box or drawer. Always on me when I suddenly need a screwdriver, pair of pliers, whatever.

Another tool always on me is a Leatherman Micra - pretty much simply because of the folding scissors. Those things are just handy. Add in a Spyderco Endura, MiniMag flashlight, and a small Swiss Army knife and that's my every day carry.

I have a bunch of various ones, some are pretty crummy. Leatherman are my favorite and the wave being my #1 pick out of them. I have several of them as they will fix them for free if they get damaged but I don’t have to be without one.

For refinement, Victorinox. For use I've found the Leatherman supertool 300 or Wave work best for me.
