I'm interested in purchasing a new CZ, but can't make up my mind. I'd like some pros, cons, and opinions. The models I'm interested in are the P-01 Omega, 75b Omega, an the SP-01 Tactical in black or urban grey.

The only reason I have the P-01 listed is that I like the idea of being able to CC it if I wanted to, but that's not necessarily a deal breaker one way or another.

The color is relevant?

Of all the CZs I've ever owned the only one that I would consider buying back was the 75 B

Unless you're running a can, skip on the threaded barrel and high sights. I hate them, and you should hate them too. Again, unless you're running a can.

I picked the SP-01, but I'd pick the phantom and save a $100

Not really the color, but rather if the entire package with extras for around the same price would be the better way to go or not. Why the 75b over the 75b Omega and SP?

Not the same, but I have a P07 already. I also prefer metal framed handguns else I'd probably would opt for the Phantom as well.

Since I already have a P01 and a P07 I would look for an SP01 to round out my CZ collection.

The P-01 occupies pretty much the same market spot as the P-07, so if you like the P-07, but would prefer a metal gun the P-01 would give you that.

If you feel the compact duty gun category is covered by your P-07, and are looking for a full size duty gun, then you'd need to choose whether you want a rail or not.

I think the pollsters are correct, get the SP01 tactical or P01. Both great guns. If think want to carry do the P01.

FWIW, the Phantom is not quite as nice as these 2, especially if you prefer metal guns. Just did not feel same in hands and I felt trigger not as nice. A good gun, but just didn’t like as much.

Because the 75b is the one that I have experience with.

Right after I got my concealed handgun permit my wife told me that she wanted me to get a 40 instead of a 45 because she thought it would be cheaper. Long story short I ended up with a CZ75B in 40 Smith & Wesson.

I don't think I've ever had a.40 that shot as smooth as that gun did it was also one of the most accurate guns that I had and I think that had to do with the way that the slide was set up inside the frame instead of outside the frame.

I got rid of it when I decided to downsize my accumulation in 2013. I've considered another one but I've made a decision to limit myself to 9 mm Glocks.

75B, 85 Combat, P10C and Kadet Kit.
I was about to buy a custom for my steel challenge aspirations or modify the 85C which has only differ on triggers, and decided not for now.
On the polymer P10C, my great disappointment because I've been using the brand (rifles and pistols) for 35 years, the P10C feel clanky cheap (good trigger though) after handling a VP9 or Glock 17.

If I could have only one CZ from that list it would be a SP01 tactical.
IMO, the Omega trigger is the better trigger system IF you plan on leaving it stock. A CZ with the traditional trigger that has CZ custom or Cajun gun works triggers parts is a thing of beauty, my Dan Wesson 1911s don't have that good of a trigger in SA.

So CZ custom and CGW can't improve the Omaga trigger to be on par with the traditional?

I have an 85 Combat and a PCR. The 85 is my favorite target 9mm and I like the PCR for carry, chose it over the PO1 because of the slimmer slide.
Neither pistol has had any trigger work done on them, after several 1000 rounds they have smoothed out nicely and I've gotten use to them.
Only complaint I have is with the serrated trigger on the PCR, it's hard on the finger after a couple hundred rounds. Don't know if the PO1 shares that feature.
Both pistols are extremely accurate with the edge going to the combat with it's longer sight radius and extra weight.
The 85 Combat has been discontinued.

While the P01 gets my vote if carry is involved and it’s a fantastic piece all its own, the SP01’s in either flavor are AWESOME. Heavy but awesome.

Here are some of my thoughts from some time back. My opinions haven’t changed.

Thanks for the write up. Since you have both, what's your opinion of the urban grey package vs the black? Which do you like the most?

Even though I am not running suppressed I actually like the suppressor sights. So probably that one but honestly they are equal.

I had trouble keeping my UG clean. Finally got to the point I sold it and bought a black one. The black one might be just as dirty, but it doesn't look like some spilt Kool aid on the light colored carpet.

Wish they had the UG setup in black.... Would be even better if it came in black with the threaded and regular barrel.

Yeah, it would not be hard to offer each option in both colors.

Only Cz I've had real experience with is the Cz 75 Compact. Excellent little pistol, feels surprisingly like the Browning Hi Power to me. I've fired a couple hundred rounds through my son's Compact, and decided to buy one for my own.

I've got a shadow 2, sp01 tactical, and scorpion. (Scorpion is the wife's)

My sp01 has waited the six weeks and got my spot at cajun gun. Now it's sitting on their shelf waiting for the bench to get the pro package completed.

I truly love the accuracy of these firearms. I'm considering a p10c for concealed carry. The sp01 will be my truck gun once confirmed ready after it's return from cgw.

I sold my 75b omega and it was a regrettable decision but at the time was the correct decision.

My sp01 decocker is a fabulous shooter. Handles recoil incredibly due to all steel with the extra weight of the accessory rail. If your going to carry best have quality belt if your going to hang it on your side.

If carry is not a need, I can't tell you how awesome that shadow 2 is out of the box. Hold one, dry fire it, double action fire it, you'll be surprised. Seriously fun range toy.
