Holy smokes, I hope you bought it!

They are pretty nifty, and fairly reliable with hot ammo. The only thing to watch out for is that they dont have an extractor or a hold-open (hence the tip-up barrel) so you gotta be extra careful checking the chamber when clearing the gun.

I would've been all over that!

Great Price! I saw two for sale today at the same pawn shop. $400.00 each ? Yikes...too much. Neither one had nice wood grips like the one you saw but they did have the original boxes and paperwork.

I have two...a 22 & 25 but they are not the two I saw today. I've had these a few years.

I like them both but the .25 is my favorite. Never (yet) a malfunction. I have two magazines for it and they both work perfect thus far. I shoot only FMJ ammo in it...any brand. Even the CCI aluminum case ammo works 100%.

The .22 is ammo finicky. I have two magazines for it also. Mine does not prefer "hot ammo" like the CCI versions for whatever reason. Jams after first round is fired at times feeding from a fully loaded mag. Load the mag one round less it works better but still acts up at times. Load the magazine full of el cheapo Remington ammo and it works perfectly. Just have to find the preferred ammo for some I suppose.

My first BUG was one of those (looked just like that one, wooden grips and all) way back in 1990 before I went to the police academy. I carried it for several years (and shot it A LOT ... probably WAY more than was ever expected). I loved it. In my AO backups were usually either .38 snubs or .22 autos (from guys who'd seen what a .22 could actually do).

I eventually sold mine to a narcotics officer in another town. I tried to warn him about the lack of an extractor but he "knew all about them." He promptly shot himself longways through his hand due to his "knowledge" and that was an object lesson to him in modestly.

They are neat guns, though a bit thick. But at that price, I'd have to grab one again! I think I paid nearly three times that back in 1990!

I paid three times that for mine, and mine doesn't have the cool woodies. I've only had it to the range once, though, and it wasn't fun, as the gun apparently didn't like the MiniMags that comprised the only .22LR ammunition I had with me that day. The gun was bought used earlier this year. If I had seen two of them at your price each, I would have bought them both.

As mentioned, do not rack the slide with a round already in the chamber; you'll end up with a double-feed jam.

Incidentally, I have the DAO Taurus PT22, which is of a similar design, and that gun will shoot and shoot..

For $99 buy it immediately!

I had one of those and discovered the taurus counterpart did shoot better and was more accurate.
I sold mine later on and never replaced it. Pop the barrel up and make sure the is no play at the pivot point.

My Beretta 21A loves anything CCI and is pretty happy with most Remington but will not work with Aguila of any type. Constant Failure to Feed.

My Taurus PT22-Ply also has a problem with Aguila. Same issue; a Failure to Feed.

My Walther PPK/S 22 seems to like anything.

Nice guns. That's a VERY good price, snap it up immediately.

At that price I would already have it and be fondling it at home!

Did find that on the ones I had preferred hotter ammo like CCI Stingers over CCI MiniMags.

Love my little 21A in .22LR. Don't carry it much anymore since I got a Keltec P32, but it is still a well-built bit of kit. My little daughter loves shooting it.

I hope you meant double action. Single action on the 21A is short, light and crisp. For $99 I wouldn't have even worried about anything but slapping my money down as fast as I could. I've owned mine since 1995.

$65? What a steal.

if a gun works properly, it is certainly worth $65 regardless of the make and caliber.

He is asking 219.95 for it and I'm being tempted.

I know that's not the bargain price you found,,,
But I'm intetested just because it's so dang pretty.

There's just something about the look of a classic Beretta.
