What is the last gun that you bought?

Fell in to a Sig P225. My pinkie hits right on the lip at the bottom of the mag though. Real uncomfy. Don't see me keeping it long. Got a guy coming Sunday to look at it.

Space Ghost: You mean that it's the original 225, and not the newer 225 A-1?

If even it is the older type like my 1987 production date, my somewhat skinny pinky never rubs the mag on the 225 or my P6.

I’ve always had a soft spot for single action revolvers. I guess if’s from watching all those cowboy movie as a kid. Oh! And the price was right.:D
I think the ejector Rod is just for looks.
Duh, the ejector rod is for ejecting empties. They don’t always fall out by gravity.

Welcome to the club! My 645 has been one of my favorite boat-anchors for years!

I see you have the early (stainless baseplate and follower) magazine, does yours still have the Phillips head safety lever screw too? In the latter production 645s they switched it to a hex-head and many owners retrofitted it as well.

:scrutiny:
Duh, the refered to revolver looks like the Colt Peacemaker, but it's a cap & ball version made primarily for Europeans who can shoot c&b but have severe restrictions on cartridge guns.
They are available here too ... for some reason .... dunno perzactly why.
They have no empties to eject.
I've never examined one closely and don't know if the ejector is functional or not, but I suspect it is only because making a dummy would just be extra work and expense.:)

When I 1st played with one.. I had thunked/hoped that the ejector rod could be used as a loading rod... thought that would be kinda cool..

I think they keep it there because your peacemaker would look naked without it..

By 1871 Or thereabouts Colt had introduced their SAA. A copy of which is our topic. :) This one is by Uberti with two cylinders 45C and 45ACP.

Those SAA that have 2 cylinders for 45 LC & 45 ACP are the best thing since sliced bread. Love how the 45 acp shells just drop in there almost like magic all without using a cylinder star.

A little background story to this pistol. Spotted it at a local pawn shop. Was interested, but didn't want to do a knee jerk buy. It had a glaring red flag that gave me pause. That later became two red flags. First, was the bobbed grip. To my knowledge ( which can be lacking ), STI makes no pistols with bobbed grips. While trying to verify this, I learned this particular model ( 1911 Guardian ) came only with a stainless slide. This gun has a blued slide. So my concern is this was Frankensteined together with STI parts. So there would be no STI warranty. So I get the S/N and contact STI. The guy I spoke with was quite surprised I was calling about this. He asked where in the world was I finding it up for sale? Turns out it is an STI Guardian, blued slide & bobbed grip. It was a special run of about 50 pistols they called the "Black Guardian". This particular pistol ( per the S/N ) was purchased by an STI employee. He must have carried it, because it does have some holster wear. But after learning it was legit, and figuring I'd likely never see another, I ran back to the shop & bought it.View attachment 865898 View attachment 865899

Great score, love their componets also.
