You just compared that to a Glock?

Come on man.... ;)

I agree with Trey. Take away the full length shroud/cheese grader and the funky colors and we can talk. As is, kinda gross.

Glocks, while blocky and simple, have clean lines without all the funky cuts, ridges and colors. I find pleasure in simplicity.

Then again, ugly guns need love too!

Well, it was really just a joke. We all like what we like.

I've been craving a CZ TSO but have been undecided on chambering due to an uncertainty in the potential usage. Maybe the thing to do is get this one in 9mm and a TSO in 40 S&W.

I don't particularly care about the 40 S&W, but having another cartridge to shoot isn't a bad thing. Money will be an issue though. Might take a bit to scrounge that up.

They went the wrong way with cartridge. Let me know if they fix that.

It seems they're using the dimensions from their short-action frame (75 grips, P10 mags). If that's correct, they'd have to do a totally different gun for long-action rounds (10mm, 45, 38 super).

It's perfect for 9mm. CZ is on a roll, show these american gun manufacturers there's more to life than polymer autoloaders, and I have nothing against polymer pistols, its just that how many do we need.

The only other chamberings that would potentially interest me are .38 Super and 10mm. But only after having one in 9mm.

the funky colors

That's not a funky-colored CZ. This is a funky-colored CZ:

Yes, that is factory livery. It's a CZ Parrot.

A lot of CZ's market is competitive shooters. Competitive shooters love crazy colors on their guns. It's sort of a way to openly flaunt a rejection of the tacticool/threat-scan aesthetic. But it's also common to race gear across sports. Think of how race cars are painted, or the silks that jockeys wear.

CZ knows their market pretty well. They've killed it with their coloring for the Shadow 2 and Tac Sport Orange in terms of sales.

OMG that looks awesome. May look into the compact version mentioned down the road since announcement says those will use the 75 mags which I have a bunch of and I like compacts.

I too would be most interested in the compact version, if CZ/Dan Wesson are listening.

Sumfin' wrong with that picture... Where are the rails? Unless they are just four short rails and you lift the slide up instead of sliding it fully forward for disassembly...

They're listening. It's the one I'm interested in. From their website:
The full-size DWX uses standard CZ 75 grips, while the compact DWX uses those from a 75 Compact.

Their website says it's new for 2020, so I'm assuming that we're going to have to wait until at least January.

I just so happen to have 12 CZ Compact mags for my PCR...this doesn't look good for the pocket book.

Yeah, I get it but I'm not a competitor and don't like the funky colors. Don't like full length shrouds, funky slide cuts and ridges either. STIs recent lineup changes basically picked all the things I like least about gun asthetics.

Hopefully the compact will be more sedate as it will likely be pointed more towards discrete carry and not flashy competitions.

Then again if the size/weight/trigger lines up like I hope, I can live with funky colors if need be
