Why is it so hard to find 40 S&W handguns lately?

Not sure if this is a parody thread. If you go to any gun shop the consignment shelf is almost all 40 S&W pistols. A Glock 9mm will sell on the first day they put it out and the 40 will sit for months.

In my specific area, I'm not finding any.

And I'll let you all know when I finally get that pistol .

I found one in my gun safe. Not hard and really didn’t take much time at all.

You want a .40 caliber handgun???
That is hammer fired?????

What are you some kind of challenged, Luddite with no concept of how things work??? I mean haven’t you heard both of those things are as useful as a rusty polearm and at best completely obsolete and at worst will get you killed. ;)

I mean what kind of moron would want something like that.......:p

In case you didn’t get it........that was a heaping helping of SARCASM.

i just bought a s&w M&p 2.0 40 cal for $299 out he door back ground check tax included used looks like new never fired at a local pawn shop soon range videos comming soon with it in it;)

If I am not mistaken , the S&W guns are MADE for the .40S&W cartridge unlike the Glock and some others that were just modified 9mm guns.

SIG AND HK with the P229/239 and USP were the first guns designed around the .40 and subsequently “converted” to 9mm. Most all newly designed guns after this followed the same trend.

The Glock 22/23 Beretta 96 etc. were sized up 9mms and you could really feel it with the Glocks.

Now I have read that starting with I think the Gen 4 the .40 caliber Glocks were designed around the .40 but I haven’t shot any Gen 4 .40s.

I will say if you shoot say a Glock 23 (Gen 3 or earlier) next to say an HK P2000 in .40 the difference in feel is fairly remarkable. The Glock just isn’t nearly as smooth and pleasant even though they are fundamentally both the same size, plastic guns.
