Agree. That video was hilarious! Very well done!I have watched it about 5 times and LMAO each time. I love Parody's. The Part where they have a map layed out showing Bud's, Brownells and Palmetto armory are just too funny. "A free striker now with every gun."
Call me a snowflake but I find the video tasteless. Given their history of genocide I don't find Nazi humor amusing. I respect the Nazis for their technical innovations and acknowledge we never would have gotten to the moon without a bunch of their scientists but equating any modern company to Nazi Germany is just downright tasteless.
Yeah. I've seen it 20 times or more covering all manner of topics. Ironically, I've never seen that clip in its original format with its true meaning subtitled. (I've also not cared enough to look it up, either.)Guess you haven't seen that video clip used for dozens of parodies? It can be quite hilarious
It's parody, and damn funny at that. Thank goodness for Mel Brooks who made it ok to laugh at Nazis over 50 years ago when he made The Producers.
From Wikipedia...
Downfall is well known for its rise in popularity due to Internet parodies called "Hitler Rants", which use scenes in the film such as where Hitler becomes angry after realizing the war is lost, where Hitler orders Otto Günsche to find SS-Gruppenführer Hermann Fegelein, and Hitler discusses a counterattack against advancing Soviet forces with his generals. In the videos the original German audio is retained, but new subtitles are added so that Hitler and his subordinates seem to be reacting to an issue of setback in present-day politics, sports, entertainment, popular culture, or everyday life.[57][58][59][60] By 2010, there were thousands of parodies.[61] Various YouTubers make Downfallreaction videos and some have cited their reasons for making them.[62][59]
