I just upgraded to the new iPhone. Love it but when I went to enter my latest range sessions into the AmmoTracker app, I was informed that the app is no longer offered and all my records for loads/velocities, range sessions, etc. are gone.
I have records, but there was a ton of test results and velocities that I have no other record of. My mistake, but I would think a subscriber to an app would be informed prior to it being closed, so that he could save whatever info was on their server. Lesson learned.
I checked out a few available apps, but they were not user friendly, at least not to me.
Does anyone know of, or use an app that is similar as far as simplicity and information categories?

I call this the "upgrade uglies". I have been caught by this before. Saving my results to a memory card in a format that can be entered into a spreadsheet will alleviate mucho heartburn. If you still have the old phone you might still be able to get at your data.

Yep...use an Excel file to save that stuff and you never have to cry again. Ask me how I know.

I pen and paper, then take photos of the data and email it to myself. So I have to loose the hard copy, phone and have my email shut down in order for the data to be lost forever.

I'm kind of school I keep a separate notebook for each caliber I load for. I'm still developing loads for multiple calibers and guns. My .45 notebook has several pages that look the same only difference being the total count of cartridges loaded. Might be too simple for some but takes less than a minute to lookup and will never be deleted.

I originally started tracking load data and velocities in a hand written ledger in the 1980's which I still have. Now like many, I use an electronic spreadsheet but keep it backed up in two places. That hand written ledger will be around long after I'm gone, not so sure about the digital version I'm using today.

Thats the reason that I still use a 3 ring notebook with hand written notes. Yeah, I still live comfortably in the last century. Technology is a wonderful thing until its not!

Just wondering, did you try accessing the data from your computer, rather than your phone? I use a method kinda opposite of jmorris's; I enter the data in my computer then print it out and keep a hard copy in mt 3 ring binders...

Can you back the update out, installing the older version? With the iOS you can through a special terminal access.
