I wouldn't be so quick to DIY this, I spoke to the customer service last week and they are aware of the issue with the sights and thus know how to fix it correctly. I was told the turnaround for these repairs is 1 week, maybe 2 weeks.I've been traveling with work for the past month but am ready to modify my Charter Arms Professional so that the point of aim is closer to the point of impact. It will void the warranty but having been through the Remington R51 fiasco, I doubt they will fix all of these handguns. Having access to industrial machine tools and previous experience it should not take long and will certainly improve the accuracy. Planning to mill down the top rib of the barrel to lower the front sight.
Has anybody got one of these that does NOT shoot low ?
Early production issues. The good news is that they're aware of the issue now and are reworking the ones people have and since the issue is known the Professionals currently being produced shouldn't have the same shooting low issue. So it looks like 3 members got one and they all have issues. At least they are consistent
