Starline brass is actually selling 223 brass that has been taken out of the process before the neck is formed.

That would take a few steps out of the process.

The remaining question is what is the minimum taper that would be reliable.

That and being able to use cheap/free range brass is a moot point if you have to buy new brass to start with.

Instead of making stuff up or believing internet rumors, here are the SAAMI specs for the .350 Legend. Yes, some claim different bullet diameter and bore size, but these are the voluntary specs. There should be no problem using appropriate 0.358” bullets as long as the loads are worked up. Or push them through a .356”-.357” Lee sizing die.

Up thread in the post were I compare 9mm Luger, 357 Magnum and 350 Legend I quote those dimensions and tolerance exactly along with the same dimension from SAAMI's 9mm Luger and 357 Magnum. I wan't making those numbers up I took them direct from SAAMI.

But guys actually holding them in hand are doing fine with .357” revolver bullets - @LoonWulf has a thread going right now where he’s mentioning shooting .358” bullets - even .358” Speer HotCors which I know I have to draw down to .357” to shoot in .357 max or .357/44B&D.
Just wanted to clarify that I HAVENT actually shot any yet, still working on getting my stuff straightened out. I WILL be trying them shortly tho, In fact i think ill go work on some cases.

well....maybe I won't try....
at least in my gun the chamber is too tight for .358 dia bullets. I CAN chamber them, but have to mortar them out.

pictars of the difference.

left to right .355-147, .358-180 (scratches came from me not the gun), .358-220
The 220 is just run into a fired case, and it's got plenty of tension.

Who's barrel are you using? Have you done a chamber cast and measured it?

it's an Bear Creek upper, and haven't gotten to cast it.

Interestingly enough, the expander in my Lee set is sized for .357-358s I think. if I run a case all the way upto the flare, a .355 drops right into the case, and it holds a .358 perfectly.

running a .358 into an unsized case works fine too.
