It's handy to have an extra single-stage press or two on the bench. This one looks mighty interesting...

I have Lee's cheapest press on my bench alongside my RCBS press. I keep a universal decapping die in it, along with a three-hole "piggy-back" sort of plate that is held on top of the press by the die and extends outward with two more 7/8" holes in it, allowing me to hang two different powder measures off to the side of the press.
How do you catch spent primers with that press?

You have to drill a small hole in the bench under the press, or do something like jmorris did (same press as mine). I can't remember for sure, but I think I paid less than $20 for that press, new, many years ago. They were very inexpensive. :)
I don't think it is until you get up to the Breech Lock O-frame press (MSRP $99.00) when Lee provides real integration of spent primer catching with an easy enough method of emptying.

I will be interested to see how their two sided case holder works out. ;)

AR-Bossman, you can be the Guinea! :D I'm patient.....besides I'm probably going to be forced to watch from a distance for a while at best. Sounds like it may be a fun toy.....certainly a different one. I hope Lee is successful making a new mousetrap!

Interesting that this one press can be used to size bullets, swage primer pockets and load ammo all with changing some feeder and die parts.

I like the concept. Only thing it would need to be a total "game changer" is compatibility with a Dillon motorized case trimmer.

That would be a good use for it if it will.
Indeed.

Does it look like a Dillon trimmer will fit? I'd love it to work for that process but I don't think it'll work. With that said, it certainly might be possible to have a new handle made that's more "C" shaped than "Y" shaped to clear something like a trimmer.

Lee has always been an innovator of good, useful reloading products, at a good price. I'm still using my old Lee hand priming tool with the screw in shell holders.I have a 6-7 shell holders for different ctgs. hdbiker

Generally yes although I don't think I'm in the minority by saying their primer systems generally suck. The Pro1000 can work but takes constant tapping and jiggling. Priming on the down stroke on the Load Master provides too much leverage and takes away some of the feel and finesse when seating. The Turret Press hanging feeder arm deal is pretty much a joke and a complete afterthought.

Picked up a Pro1000 year before last just to see what all the whining was about. I giggled as I loaded a thousand round batch of 38spl with no troubles whatsoever. Well, as long as I refilled the primers when the tray chute was empty.

Properly adjusted my Loadmaster primes trouble free, too. As does the LCT press priming system. Guess some people have it and some people don’t.

Got the ABLP when it came out. That press is a lot of fun. This new press looks to be fun, also. I constantly giggle when I use my Lee presses. But, when I need a thousand rounds right now I do set up the Dillon XL650.

Soon as I recover, if ever, from this past surgery I’ll enjoy some giggles on this new press. Can’t wait!

I have used a progressive shotshell loader (MEC 9000G) for about 25 years but have always used a pair of single-stage presses for all my metallic reloading. I'm planning on taking baby steps toward the progressives by buying a Lee Classic Turret press next. I've been doing more handgun shooting lately and the reloading is getting to be a burden. ;)

When I first saw it, it seemed very "meh". One single stage is pretty much all you need, and I seem to have 5.

But after reading through it the primer pocket swager looks very compelling. It has a set depth plunger, spring loaded? I have found the RCBS to be the best I have seen, but it requires constant tightening and giggling (sorry couldn't resist.) If this can actually let me put a case in a casefeeder, pull a handle and have a swaged round without slamming the press handle a bit to remove the swaged round....I'm in. Even better if it doesn't bend index rods or require lube in the primer pocket.

The best conversion system I've used for swaging is the adapter kit for the Hornady Lock N Load. It runs pretty quickly and provides a very consistent swage that allows for easy priming. Converting the Lock N Load for swaging is pretty easy. Down side is the kit is only available for 223 or 308.

wait so can this thing resize, deprime, and swage in the same stroke? this will happily replace my Super Swage 600
