Happy Thanksgiving

Much to be thankful for, maybe put aside our partisanship for one day at the family gathering and think about what things we share in common rather than what divides us.

Prayers for our great country, our families and friends! Thankful that my time here on Earth is just the beginning! ;)

Then on Black Friday American’s can go about killing each other over stuff.:cuss:

Who hear harvested a wild turkey for Thanksgiving?

Happy thanksgiving everyone!
You all wearing your sunday best bbq guns to your various get togethers or keeping it low key with the pocket pistol?
I'm headed to the inlaws and my wifes sister and her husband are huge anti's so its the legendary power and precision of a g42 AIWB. It's sure to be jabbing me in the belly more and more as my gut expands. Good times, good friends and good food. Enjoy everyone.

Doggone it!
I never thought of ballistically dressing Babr-B-Q for Thanksgiving. Damn fine idea.

Now?..... Now I have a hankering for Christmas grips for my Hi Power or a 1911!

Was going to pace myself today and eat very little prior to the big feast this evening. That plan didn't last long as my son came over with a late breakfast. Poached eggs with minced red onions and bell pepper. Bacon and toast on the side. And so it begins.

To all here have a festive and enjoyable day!

I had a girlfriend that would refer to this day as the beginning of "The Eating Season"... ;)

Been trying to *pace* myself for decades. Just NOW, agreed to an offer of french toast even as the Turkey's filling the house with roasting smells.

Happy Thanksgiving folks. Rule here is that all posts must be firearm related or they get locked. So that said....what gun did you use to take down that big bird in your oven? We're having venison backstraps from a deer shot with a AR .223, just last Sunday, along with our turkey.

Visa.

Bird is deep fried, family gathering at my sons house, thankful for all my blessings.

I've never had cornbread on Thanksgiving, but I'm willing to give it a try!

It's funny how you expect certain dishes on certain holidays.

I'm having Thanksgiving with my girlfriend and her family, who are from California. I was informed that there would be no green bean casserole, no mashed potatoes, no rolls, and instead of yams with brown sugar and marshmallows, there will be healthier baked sweet potatoes.

I volunteered to bring mashed potatoes and rolls. If there is no gravy, I'm getting a new girlfriend that is from Idaho, lol.

Ours is *in the pipe* as I type.

The beauty of corn bread is that while it is easy enough to make, it can provide a complex, complimentary side to anything. Make it sweet, make it savory, it can have hints of game being served; fish, fowl or furred and transports very well.

I’m glad this thread stayed up.

It’s truly a blessing to have the family and friends I have. To have a good career. To live in the greatest country that will ever be. I’m thankful for my freedom. And to the patriots and warriors that ensured that freedom. And those that protect it today. We have more to be thankful for than we have time to give the thanks it deserves. But I truly hope you all have a blessed day.

And for those that don’t have cornbread on Thanksgiving....I will pray for your blasphemous souls. Lol.

I’m off to save the world, one patient at a time.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!

Ah corn bread. On the farm it often had “cracklings” in it and was made from scratch. Today the wife likes it sweet and it’s from a box. Still, I do love corn bread.
