Have any of you assembled one of these 80% Glock, 1911 or Sig Sauer kits?

I was looking at a Glock Gen 3 kit with a Polymer 80 frame and a “OEM style” Glock slide. I was looking for reviews for 3 different online businesses that sell these but cannot find reviews.

I just can’t find reviews on these companies outside a boatload of “Likes” on Faceplant.

Anyone have experience with these kits? Are they as reliable as the real things?

I think you're barking up the wrong tree. All three businesses that you linked sell the same frame kit manufactured by Polymer80. The small parts, slide, barrel, and sights may be different, but that's about it. If you're concerned about online retailers, buy from Brownells. If you are concerned about the compatibilty, buy an all-OEM kit peacemeal... from Brownells.

MDX is not a bad place, BTW. They test what they sell.

Here is one of Lenny’s YouTube videos on Polymer80 builds;

If we ever vote here on greatest gun store ever with the best customer service, GS gets my vote hands down!

Thank you. I wanted to know about the businesses themselves. That is why I was looking for reviews about them.

Oops. Sorry, I assumed it was the gun you wanted to review, as that is common. A review of a business is a rare request. Question: Why?

Well, I am a bit leery of online businesses that I haven’t dealt with before especially when I cannot find one review about them. MDX has four 5 star reviews on line but that is it. They all have “likes” on Facebook but any bonehead can get a like or leave a like on that site.

I know Brownells is reputable as is Glock Store but as far as I can tell they don’t have Polymer 80 complete guns on sale at $200 off right now.

I also built a Poly80 kit (G19) from Rockey Brass and it was just fine. I can't remember exactly what I paid, but it was the cheapest kit that I found at the time I searched. I also have built 3 1911s from 1911builders.com with great success.
