My mind wanders when I am bored at work, and this is one of those times. I think it would be interesting to build an AR pistol in .45 super with a 10" barrel. I have experience building AR's, but do not know anything about the .45 versions. First, what options do I have for lowers for a .45 AR? I would want it to run off of Glock mags. I am also thinking that a blowback upper would be my best option. Any ideas on what buffer weight I might need to run a .45 Super upper? I do realize that this is an odd duck, but there is actually method to my madness.

Why not go directly to the .458 socom if the you want more power than what the .45 ACP unless this a project that you want to do just because you can.

The reason that I want to use the .45 Super is that I want to stay with a straight walled pistol round.
The straight wall mags

I am sure that someone, somewhere has done what you want to do. Good luck with it and may the first set up that you put together run well without the need of additional tweaking.

Blowback AR's are hard on components when shooting 150PF factory 9mm. I predict you're going to break a lot of stuff on this gun if you get it built.
I suspect there may be some way of getting enough wt for a blowback. But a more powerful .45 loading makes it more difficult and such ammunition is expensive.
I have decided I want to set up for myself an AR pistol that will duplicate .44 magnum pistol ballistics and I will look into a the .300 blackout with 200-220 grain hollow point bullets at a supersonic 1300 fps. i am looking for pistol decibel levels relative to my hearing. I think op would like to have .45 caliber bullets up to 1,000 fps or faster. I think a locked breech gas operated gun is the best way for going that route.
But likely there is someone out there that has figured out a way with tungsten to make a super heavy buffer wt. suitable for the OP.
