Picked up a Rossi today...

That's a nice revolver no matter who made it!

Oh, I have one like that, only in 32 Long! Much less useful than the OP's, but I like 32 Long. Mine also seems very well made, but I have not fired it yet. Pachmayr made grips for them, so I got a pair for mine. Please let us know how yours shoots, laylow.

Congrats to the OP. A really nice gun for sure. I have a Rossi 32 long and it is just a wonderful shooter. I was given the gun by a friend whose father had passed away and it appeared like he never shot it. I was surprised at the very nice quality.

I had a Model 88, the adjustable rear sight version, also imported many years ago by Interarms. With a 3" barrel and stainless steel construction it made for a great backwoods Kit Gun.

I have it's cousin in blue with an inch less barrel. Its one of my favorites for carry.



If I could trade it for a stainless version like yours, I would have to really think about it. I love the blue finish but the durability of stainless is hard to beat.

I had a Rossi M68 about 30 years ago. Within a box or two of shells, it started misfiring. The firing pin had cracked. I got one for a S&W and put it in. It was an ok gun after that.

I Think the Interarms Rossi revolvers were good guns. I had three of their M720's in .44 Spl. I have been downsizing and sold two of them off. Will keep the last one until the end. I had two of their M971's and should have kept one , but the M720 completes any need I have now.

What a sweet Gat! Most folks don't know what a quality gun the Interarms Rossi's are. As far as parts, many Smith parts are interchangeable, such as the firing pins. Back in the Bangor-Punta days, S & W, Rossi, and Taurus were all under the same umbrella and traded tech, parts, etc..

Here are a couple pix of one of my favorite revolvers, the Model 851 Amadeo Rossi in .38 Spl.. They modeled it after the Colt Diamondback, so the story goes. Innards are identical to that of the Smith. One of the most accurate and reliable pieces I have ever owned!

Yeah, the Rossis and Smiths weren't that different. I adore my Rossi 720. When the hammer nose firing pin broke, it only took some very minor adjustments to make a Model 10 version work perfectly.

I would carry that. Great trail/hiking gun, with best barrel length available for that. I have a beater 68 (blued version) that locks up nice and tight. Enjoy it!
