Just got back from one of my local Walmarts in what likely will be the last time I ever buy ammo there. Scored a good quantity of 9mm for as low as 8.7 cents a round. Picked up some 380 and 38 Special for cheaper than I've ever bought it too. Kid there says it has to be all gone before the first of the year. Not sure if that's true or not but it sure won't last long!!

Yeah, you're not kidding. They have 150-round packs of 9mm NATO for $13 (usually just jacketed bullets for reloading cost that much), .40 for $7, and I bought their one box of brass-cased .45 ACP for $9. They did have some steel-case .45 and 9mm for a couple dollars less.

I may have to check back closer to the end of the year to see if they drop it any farther to get it out before year-end.

Guess I have to go into wall mart for the first time in at least one year. Anything for cheap ammo.

Ours had 100 round boxes of federal 9mm for $15 a week ago. I bought 100 rounds of Federal 223 for $25. Federal 357 was $21 for 50 and 38 Specials were $30/100. Might have to run over tomorrow and see if it's been reduced again from those prices

Remington UMC 130 grain FMJ 38 spl 250 round mega packs for $35(14 cents/round) at my local WM yesterday down from $59 two days ago. Dec. 29th they stop selling and what's left goes to state police.

Central Texas Walmarts haven't had prices near that good. (Academy Federal Black Packs have been the best deal) I'll be checking Wally just in case it really does have to all be gone by the end of the year and they start cutting prices more.

I bought all of the 40 caliber Tula they had at $5 a box. Not much left there of anything now.

Went to our Wallmart for the first time in a long time. They had no ammo even being sold. Had to walk through that hole for no good reason.

Not all Wally's have ammo counters.
They had an ammo counter for the past 25 years. I have been boycotting them the last year and a half. When they stopped selling guns I quit shopping at wallmart. Figured I might get lucky with recent reports and get some ammo at cost.

Where we live, the local Walmart has a vertical rack filled with rifles and shotguns. In addition, they have plenty of ammunition for sale.

We will see how it goes as time passes; who knows?

Hope you get to keep your supplies. They are about to ban me from the once great state of California.

Perhaps, it is better to get out while the getting is good. I was an automotive design engineer. I lived near Detroit Michigan for a couple of years until I found employment down South. I left my toys with my parents.

I've haven't purchased a firearm or rifle/pistol ammunition from Walmart. The reason is price, I can buy a lot more for a lot less online. AFA, firearms the same applies. I have purchased some shotgun shells there.
Earlier today, we were at the local Walmart and for the heck of it, I decided to check it out. What we saw was business as usual. There wasn't any clear the racks and shelves clearance prices.

I'm a little latter along in life and need 3-4 more years before it's easy to leave the state. I have been slowly moving many of my possessions to the PNW.

Went to Walmart today. The 9mm, .40 and .357 were gone. They had Federal .380 at $7 for 50. Also saw Winchester 130gr, 38 specials for $17 per hundred and Remington 125gr SJHP for $15 per hundred. I bought a 100 pack of Remington 230gr JHP for $25 and a box of Federal 158gr LRN 38 special for $9/50
They also had a fair amount of 32 auto for I think $8/50

One Walmart in Central Texas is now cutting prices pretty hard. I bought all they had of Winchester white box 50 rounds for $7 each......

of 40 S&W!:D 14 cents each is well below reload cost for me.

The closest Walmart was nearly sold out but I managed to snag 400 rounds on Winchester .380 for $7.50 a box and 2 boxes of Federal 240 gr HP .44 Mag for $17 a box. All of the 9mm, .40 sw, .45 acp .38 and .357 was all gone.

I was in my local store yesterday and it's just about over for them. They had a little 38 special and a little 380. I left with 600 rounds of 380 at $7 a box. I left 400 rounds of 380 for someone else and all the 38 special. The sporting goods manager told me they will continue to sell rimfire, shotgun, and certain centerfire rifle ammo.

Looks like we've about picked this carcass clean. I don't have near as much use for Walmart after this.

And going fast

I went in yesterday and bought and cleaned them out of what they had left, which was a bunch of 380, couple of 32 Auto, one 44 Mag, two 45 Auto, two 300 BLK, and some 38 Special. Went back today to see if they had put out any more, and they had one 45 Colt at half price. I don't have a 45 Colt, but maybe now that I bought that one box, I should get one. LOL.

I almost bought the last 3 boxes of 357 Sig ammo and I don't even have a gun for it! :D
