I shoot a couple of 30-shot bullseye scores approximately twice a month & keep track of my scores. I shoot one round with a S&W Mod 41 & another with a Colt national Match 1911.

At first my shots are inside the 9-10 rings but as I begin to tire with the S&W Mod 41 my shots drift to the right of the bullseye and with the 1911 my shots drift to the left.

Is this a grip issue? .

Sounds to me more like a trigger pull issue. As you shoot, are you making sure you are pulling straight back, and positioning your finger the same way? With variations that are consistent with the type of gun, I would look at how the trigger pull may be different between the two guns to make one pull left and the other pull right.

sounds like a "squeeze" issue. your grip pressure becomes less when you get tired and affects the shot. different grip frames on the two guns is probably why you get two different results in the shot pattern.

either reduce your initial grip pressure, or start exercising is my recommendation.

Grip is the most likely reason, and some sort of flinching would be 2nd. By flinching, I more mean trying too hard to shoot 9s/10s when you know your groups are opening up. You can kind of make it work for a while, but as fatigue sets in, your groups will open up.

Dry fire against a blank wall for 30 shots with each and see how well you keep the sights aligned. If you do well, then dry fire 30 with each with a small target to aim at and see if you have issues aligning the sights crop up.

Along the lines of post #4 and eyes tiring, are you shooting both eyes open or only one eye open? With both eyes open and unobstructed I couldn't always tell where my POI was going to be. This got worse as my eyes tired. I had to squint an eye or put some Scotch tape on my non-dominant eye glasses lens to maintain POA and POI confirmation.
