What's your most " Fun Gun"

My first thought is one which would probably be the most BORING choice for most people -- a T/C Contender...

I like the "Transformer" aspect of it... As in, "What does it feel like being today?" This is her in some .22LR configurations (the latter two being "pistols")...

Shooting it is, shall we say, "deliberate." :D On the other hand, I don't have any feeding issues... :D At least, nothing caused by the gun itself. :)

I can burn through a bunch of different .22 rimfire loads, picking and choosing as I go. Because of the closed chamber and relatively long barrels, I don't need hearing protection for the softer loads.

Truth be told, I don't know of too many firearms that AREN'T fun... But this is the one that occurred to me first... :)

Easy. The Garand. What on earth could possibly be more enjoyable to shoot. It is definitely a crowd pleaser.

I love when the space gun guys start asking if they can shoot it.
Nothing but smiles.
I didn't list my Garand as my *funnest* but it does hold a special place in that I make a point of always taking a Garand out and having it be the very last thing I shoot. Always leaves me smiling.

Todd.

Handgun wise, it's a toss up between my Walther P-1 and the CZ-52. The P-1 is fun as it is scary accurate, and it skips the brass off the brim of your hat. I like the CZ as it chucks the brass a country mile with a wicked muzzle flash and bang. The long lock time makes it entertaining to watch others not used to following through kick dirt up 4 feet in front of the target. It's also fun on the rifle range on full sized silhouettes.

Rifle wise it is hands down the M1-Garand. Bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bamPING!. Who doesn't love that??? 'Murica out!

For Offhand Combat and target shooting nothing beats a 3" K Frame for me and over the last year or so find myself shooting the fixed sight ones more than ones with adjustable sights. For anything over 25 yards I have a nice selection of S&W's with 8 3/8" Barrels. Lately I've found myself shooting my .22 Long rifle at 50 and 100 yards a lot. Just bought a 2X7 Handgun Scope for my Model 17 and hope it will help these of eyes at longer distances.

Tough one. Most of my guns are fun guns, the rest are... Fun but for defense .
Most fun I have is with my 45-70 Henry with 405 grain rnfp over trail boss. Set up some heavy targets and try to knock them down. Soft recoil, blued steel and a smooth action. That's the stuff.

No boring at all.
I have had Contenders for years and just recently picked up an older one with 10 inch 30/30 and a 22 WMR. In fact, I took it to the range today and had a great time. That 30/30 really made me smile with every pull of the trigger.

Because this is in the handgun section... my most 'fun handgun' would probably be my Kimber Pro Eclipse II .45ACP. It's fun to shoot, it's accurate, I like working with it, it performs so well it makes you feel like a hero...

Eclipse on the top. The Pro Carry II below it is fun to shoot as well, but being an alloy frame, it's a bit more work to shoot... so the Eclipse wins.

Now, if you are talking just any firearm in the corral... well, that would have to be my Garand. A very physical rifle to shoot, and like the Kimber, very accurate, reliable, and easy to shoot. There are a number of satisfying aspects of the Garand, including loading it, shooting it, the whole action thing, and, of course, the *ping!* at the end of a shot string. It doesn't get much better'n that...

Love those Browning Medalists! I could see where those target grips could really provide for a really solid and steady grip on the gun.
I believe they improve accuracy due to the fact that you don't wrap your grip hand around them as much as with most handguns. Your hand stays more open, especially the thumb, and it just feels comfortable once you get used to it not feeling like all other guns. I think the open-hand grip results in a more natural and relaxed hold, and better stability. I typically shoot 20% smaller groups with whichever of the two guns is wearing the target grip vs. the one with the regular Challenger grip.

Here are shots of a standard 1911 grip and the Medalist grip (both in my hand). The Medalist grip looks a little strange, but it feels excellent when squeezing off rounds.

Most fun is black powder. Smoking stinky mess. I used to turn my nose up at BP stuff until one day an old guy turned me on to his cheap knights inline. Never thought that I could have that kind of fun with cave dweller tech. I bought a used cva bobcat for cheap and dressed it up like an Indian war rifle for a functional wall hanger. Cheap stuff always seems to have a higher fun factor than pricey stuff because you can beat on it or mod it without worry.

Currently? My Mosin Nagant. Just because everyone else at the local range has ARs and Ivan makes himself known.
Previously, probably the S&W 586. I could shoot my target-load .38s out of it and chew the bullseye out with little more recoil than a .22, all the way up to the .357s a friend's dad loaded for his lever-action.
They were a nice hunting round for that. In the 586, they became a fireworks show.

Love all my guns but at the moment I'm enjoying my Pedersoli Sharps rifle I recently acquired. Just ordered some 500 grain and 535 grain postel bullets that I want to try out as soon as I get a chance. Also I just built a new long range shooter that I want to try out to 400 yards a ruger 10/22.

Like Hotshot357 all my guns are fun guns but my latest and most favorite “fun gun” is .308Norma’s pick. The S&W model 63. What a great little shooter it is.
I agree, the M63 is fun, but
