I can't help but wonder about a Bisley Grip frame....

From what I remember seeing they were converting a Ruger Blackhawk with the hog leg grip to a Colt revolver grip frame for the longer drop down grip.

It's a Colt SAA type two piece grip frame.

I'm like the OP.
I think the bisleys look a bit odd.
I just think that angle is too much.

But I would enjoy shooting one.

My question is, does that grip angle cut down on felt recoil?
Would a standard grip of the same caliber give more kick?
There's gotta be some catch, enough shooters like 'em.

Keep in mind that when Ruger finally released the .454 and .480 on the Super Blackhawk, they equipped them with the Bisley grip frame as the only option available. There is a reason for this.
