Back in 2013 when there was the powder shortage..and you couldn't buy anything, anywhere....I put in an order for True Blue..it was like a unicorn. It took me OVER ONE YEAR to get a 8lb jug of it. Then after I got it and tested it...I realized is so close to Silhouette, I should have just bought all Sil! LOL for 9 MM anyway.

It works very well, like several medium speed powders do, meters great.

11-2010 Temps in the 50's

Hornady 115 Gr encapsulated FMJ-RN. 6.3 Grs True Blue. WSP primer. 1.130 to 1.135 OAL

3" EMP=Avg 1039 FPS
5" 1911= Avg 1168 FPS
16" AR= Avg 1330 FPS

Max!, work it up

Thanks for the info , I picked up a pound to try and will post data in a week or so ,

Going to load up some 115gr rn coated at 5.0 gr and 5.2 gr and go from there , following Ramshot 115 gr lead data ,

I used to load 6.2gr True Blue under a 124gr Gold Dot for self defense loads. It was a great load.

I would think 5.2 under a 115 would be on the verge of too weak for reliable cycling.

I could be wrong but that sounds like a really weak load.

I will try it and Chrono it , is does seem like a lighter charge but I am going off Ramshots 115 lead data

Western Powders 6.0 PDF for 9MM goes from 5.8 with a Ranier 115 Gr plated RN @ 1.140 OAL to 5.9 with a Berrys 115 Gr plated RN @ 1.130 OAL, to 6.0 with a Sierra 115 Gr FMJ @ 1.100 OAL. (1187, 1161, & 1147 FPS)

The lowest minimum for those thre 115 Gr RN bullets is 4.9 Grs, so 5.2 Grs will be light, but probably OK to start.

Western Powders 6.0 PDF for +P 9MM goes from 6.2 Grs for the Sierra 115 Gr FMJ for 1234 FPS to 6.4 Grs for the Berrys 115 Gr plated RN for 1217 FPS.

Please read the attached PDF and verify my numbers.

Edit: I just realized you are using coated, so the lead data is probably more appropriate.

I have been using Silhouette with many assorted 115/124gr plated bullets and have also used it in 45acp with 185/200gr plated and then 380acp with 100gr Xtreme. My understanding is that True Blue and Silhouette are very close to each other with the Silhouette having a Flash Suppressant added.
