At the range the guy next to me had one, I said I never tried one so he let me gave me 6 shots. OH NO! NOW YET ANOTHER gun I want!

Felt good, decent trigger, and nice glow sights, 5 shots dead into the bulls with four a X at 10 yards and one mistake to the left lol. The owner and his kids shot hundreds of rounds in it to today without any problems

I have one and really like it. At first I was hesitant because it was all plastic, and when I finally decided to buy one I had to wait more than 5 years for it because they were in such big demand that many people were buying them for 2 to 3 times of what they were worth and I was not willing to pay $800. I am amazed at how fast that 22magnum bullet goes and at 100 yards it is basically point of aim on your target. Trigger is not bad at all out of the box too.

I have one, but it's pretty much a cool looking range toy. Nice accuracy, handles great, but just doesn't feed reliably. Despite following mag loading instructions.

The .22 mag rf is too costly to be a range toy. Some like it for shot cartridges and others I think for the noise. it will make the dirt fly more when plinking for sure.

It is more expensive than .22 lr, but a lot of people use 9mm and .40 rounds as their range fodder and don't seem to mind the cost. (A lot of folks buy their 9mm and .40 ammo at the range or at BIG BOX stores and pay roughly the same price as .22 WMR.

My PRM-30 has been a lot of fun to shoot, and it's a bit like shooting a LASER! (I got it for my wife, who is recoil sensitive and has a hard time racking most semi-auto slides. She can manage the PMR-30.) You WILL need ear protection, especially at an indoor range.

Kel-Tec gives advice about which ammos to use and which to avoid -- but so far I've not had any problems with the Fiocchi 40 gr they warn against. (I bought the Fiocchi before I got the gun. I won't buy any more.) The only BULK amounts of .22 wmr I've seen is offered by Armscor, and that is also a NO-NO according to Kel-Tec.

Really cool gun. My uncle has one although the last time I shot it it was jamming horribly even though it was clean. Maybe a fluke thing with the ammo because it never jammed before

I had feeding issues with only the Hornady V-max 30 grain bullets. I started loading only 25 rounds in the magazine and this seems to have fix the feeding issue with other brands it feeds reliably.

I think the 1 out of 5 rounds of .22 WMR out of a handgun that went through 3A Body Armor on a Paul Harrell Video gave me new respect for this caliber.

The fun I experienced with the pistol inspired me to also buy the carbine, which is even more fun. I don't think I've ever shot such a nice group with the pistol as the OP though. Most ammo works fine. I shoot a lot of Federal 50 gr. and Fiocchi 40 gr. Bought in bulk it's about $7.50 per box. I have to admit that even after several thousand rounds through the two guns, I still get an occasional misfeed... perhaps one out of a hundred. I double up on hearing protection... it is loud.

Anyone use it as a carry weapon?
I use it as a carry weapon on occasion when my attire is very very casual where I'm wearing shorts and a Hawaiian type shirt around on hot summer days. Fully loaded this firearm weighs about 19 ounces, mine less since I only load 25 rounds to avoid feeding issues, plus the last five rounds are a bear to load which if you are not careful the cartridge can easily be dented pushing the next round in. I believe that this could be the cause of having feeding issues but have no scientific proof to back up my statement. With one magazine in the gun and an extra in the pocket I feel very confident with 50 rounds of 22 magnum as protection. As I posted on the above statement this gun is basically point of aim at 100 yards and very accurate and with little recoil, follow up shots are faster.

I have had good luck with Kel Tec firearms including the PMR 30. I currently own a P11, Sub 2000, P3AT, PF9, P40 (retired) and the PMR. Never a problem with any of them. The PMR 30 is indeed my truck and tractor gun, DRT on feral cats and ground squirrels.

The only problem I ever had with my PMR-30 was feed issues. I'll bet THAT was the problem you and your uncle experienced.

I simply did not read the manual which tells you how to load the magazine. After reading comments on forum like this, I read how to load the mag and haven't had problem since...

I don't often load more than 20 or 25, but it's not because of feeding issues. With many of my guns I just load 5-10 rounds, and put up new targets (I print them on 8"x11" sheets -- it's cheap and easy to see what you're doing right and wrong.

I've also found a speed loader for the PMR-30 magazine which I've only tried once. It worked like a charm that time, but if its still works like a charge the next couple of time I take the PMR-30 to the range, I'll start spreading the word.

Held and fired one yesterday and came here to start a thread and found this one!

I love it and will soon get one. LGS has one for $375, used.

In my area local gun store and Rural King a little ways away are $389.00 new. But factor in tax after.

Gun broker cheapest I see is $318.00 plus shipping and plus transfer with your local FFL which on average should add up to $50 to $60. So it is really a matter if you can haggle at your local gun store because in the end it is only a $20 to $30 difference buying local or buying online and having it shipped.

My biggest concern even while the one I tried was dead on if I get one and it shoots off there is no elevation adjustment, only windage by drifting the front sight. I used a 6 o clock hold on the orange bulls by the way, ammo was 40 grain Federal.
