16 in 300 blackout, looking for muzzle device advice. Tame recoil and not blowback in my face or blow away the guy next to me at the range. thanks

The smaller charges of faster powders vs .223 already makes the .300 pretty tame as far as blast goes.

Don’t use any “brake” as they only make what’s there more concussive, unless reducing recoil is a higher priority.

Mine is only 8.5” but has an 11.5” tube that I enclosed at the end to prevent blast from exiting it from the side, so nothing gets damaged when testing for stability without the suppressor. Directs all blast downrange.

That said the suppressor is the muzzle device that will lesson felt recoil and reduce blast the most.

Given your 16" barrel... you shouldn't have a lot of muzzle blast.

The powder charge weight from a 300BK Supersonic is "about" the same as a .357 Magnum, and if you have ever fired a .357 Magnum from a 16" lever gun... that is "about" the blast you will have.

That said, linear comps help direct that blast forward... the side noise is still about as loud.

Dependent on your muzzle threads, I would consider a BCM .308 Comp. ... but I don't know how "dramatic" the reduction in blast would be.

Suppress it. Isn't that what 300 Blackout is for. I never really saw a reason to own a 300 Blackout except to put a suppressor on it, very cool gun running suppressed.

Pretty much where I’m at.

I never thought 300blk really needed recoil reduction, I used a linear compensator on the one that I had and sold, but that was before I owned a suppressor.

Probably would’ve kept the 300blk pistol I had if I had a suppressor at the time but without a suppressor there wasn't much desire as my x39 was a more potent substitution.
