I have not heard of this company very much.
In looking at their 1x6 illuminated reticle offerings it appears to have much of the features I would like, at 6-800$ depending where you look, it's not really expensive, but who wants an unknown quantity.
Anyone running these optics? I've looked around and found some mixed reviews mainly on the higher power variables. If it sounds like a go it will mount on a 16" AR. What's your thoughts?

I have no experience with this particular Athlon model but I now have three Athlon scopes (two are Argos, one is Talos but the specifics of magnification and lens size escape me). I have been very pleased, and, as I recall, the Midas level is higher spec and cost than these that I have. I would certainly buy Athlon scopes again. Hope this is helpful.

I've had or have 1/2 dozen Athlons in the last 2 years. 3 Argos, A Midas BTR an Area BTR, and Neos.
I like them, optically I've been very impressed, and my Midas and Ares have tracked well and been positive.
I also ordered and set up a Midas HMR for a friend, and that one is on my list of will buys when I need another big scope.

The only issue i had I'm almost positive was my fault. The Argos I had on my 06 quit tracking one day, and without really checking it out I sent it back. They sent me a new one the same day the scope got checked in. When I thought about it later, I'm pretty sure I forgot to to tighten the elevation dial set screws after resetting it to zero after sight in.

From THOSE experiences I'd recommend the 1-6BTR.

Thank you Sir.

No personal experience, but the guy who owns this business posts on some other hunting forums and he thinks very highly of them. He is often recommending that brand.

I've only dealt with them once and it was a very positive experience. I'd recommend calling if you're interested and actually talk to a person. The one I spoke with was very knowledgeable.

I was looking for a good set of binoculars. I described what I wanted and they hooked me up with some that proved to be exactly what I was looking for at a good price. They shipped me a display model that was still new, but had been handled some. The price was discounted quite a bit off their regular price.

And BTW, it's a 1-6X, not 1X6.

Great advice on Cameraland. Good prices, good people.
