Poll should be titled "Which of these of the two Pocket Pistols which would you choose. Kahr CW380 or Sig 238, And that is assuming you are referring to a Kahr 380 when you say "Kahr Polymer".

A Sig 938 might be the 9mm closest to.a pocket pistol.

Well I try and call balls and strikes as I see them and if I hamhandedly poke the bear in the process so be it. But it seems to me that this being the semi-auto sub forum, the listing of a j frame in the survey would seem somewhat superfluous. But maybe that's just me.

I can attest to the fact that I have carried a P365 sas in an Alabama pocket holster in baggy blue jeans. So it is somewhat doable and that is one of the the design parameters sig was using when they came up with the idea of the sas.

An old man I knew (and really liked) that I used to work on his mobile home for him wore overalls everywhere he went. One day I was watching and he pulled a 4" model 10 out of his pocket. I had no idea that old goat was armed. He said "oh yeah, I carry this everywhere I go". And that was way before CC was law. But I guess since his son was the police chief of Lake Worth PD he felt like he could do what he wanted and get away with it. And he did till he died.

Things used to be different in the old days. Could have very well been a sworn Police Officer.

All the "People of Quality" (read political supporters of the Sheriff) here use to be sworn Sheriff's Deputies.

I carry a KAHR PM45 most of the time, in Carhartt carpenters. It’s just not that bad. Most people consider the J-Frame a pocket pistol and it larger than most, if not all on the OP’s list.

Then again maybe carhartts are the new hammer pants, as “skinny jeans” seem to be the trend now days so that could explain why you guys think pistols literally designed for pocket carry are to big for pocket carry.

To me, pocket carry is anything that fits that day. I've pocket carried my M9A3 and no one was the wiser but once I got my G48 it just became easier to throw that in my pocket if I don't want to put on a holster. Even as I post this my S&W M&P340 with Crimson Trace is in my pocket.

For me pocket carry is something that fits in blue jeans pockets without printing. If I have a jacket on I'm carrying a belt gun. I usually only pocket carry in my right hip pocket so an LCP is about the biggest thing that doesn't poke out the top.

I can't reply to your post with something other than "sig p238" since now a 2nd mod has come in and threatened to lock thread. Truly sad stuff.

Heck don't worry about it. There is nothing thats worth getting the thread locked for. Hopefully the thread can get back on track and get some more responses. I hope so anyway since I am in the market for a new pocket rocket myself. And I am not that familiar with all the new 9mm and 380s being offered. And I have one of the new Ruger LCP 22lr on my GB watch list.

No he was former military and stated he had killed at least 25 enemy soldiers by his count. He was a cool old dude to talk to. In his bedroom he had around 6 old Winchester lever guns hanging on the wall. And his bed had post on all four corners. Each post has an old Colt single action in a belt and holster loaded and ready to go hanging on it. He apparently had a lot of money and owned a sort of semi open to the public classic car museum that he said he sold to a man from California for 3 million dollars. He said his family was P.O.ed at him because he gave the biggest part of the money to charities like the Boys Club Of America and others. If its true or not I cannot say. But he could tell some tales.

I can, and have, carried both a Sig P938 and a Glock 42 in my front pants pocket. I also have a Springfield 911 (.380) that fits in my pockets just fine. I need to find a holster for it however, as the holster Springfield provides doesn't work very well. It comes out with the gun instead of staying in the pocket.

I am sure everyone here knows about this site but it lets you compare different autos in relation to size with other guns so you can get an idea how large or small a gun is compared to one you are familiar with. I used my Taurus TCP 738 in 380 to compare to the Ruger LCP and the Kel-Tec 32 auto. The little Kel-Tec is just a tiny bit smaller and lighter in weight.

I pocket carry my P365 in blue jeans all day, 24/7 no issues.Still have a Shield 9 and LCP but since buying the P365 they are getting a well deserved rest.

I saw the Hellcat the other day and was surprised how small it is, I'll stick with my XD9 SC, my XDE, and My Glock 19. Price is crazy.

From the list:
Sig P238

Not from the list:
Kahr CM9
Kel Tec P11
Diamondback DB9
Kahr CT380
Remington RM380
Kel Tec P3AT

Dress slacks are typical dress on my 6’ frame; those pockets don’t accommodate larger handguns.
(Per the OP’s post “rules”, revolvers not listed)

I feel most if not all of the pistol listed are a bit too big for pocket carry most will fit but be hard to pull out fast. I enjoy my LCP for pocket carry.

Spring through fall in Oklahoma, I usually wear cargo shorts so I either carry a P238 or P365. In winter, with a jacket, a PPS comes into play.

if I were to spend the majority of my time standing up I could pocket carry a lot bigger guns. however, since I and the vast majority of people spend their time seated, comfortable pocket carry that doesn't look like a tumor growing on my lap requires that I go with a smaller gun.

small, reliable, semiauto pocket pistols, for me, ymmv: taurus pt25ply (only the poly version, to have a rackable slide for second mag reload), keltec p32, ruger lcp 22. considering a pistol that is small enough to actually fit and be drawn from my pocket, i need a soft shooter, otherwise no practice, no accuracy and no confidence. so, no 9mm or 380acp for me. i also need a small enough pistol to have room to distribute other pocket items, plus leave space to carry a second mag (i never go without extra rounds for a ccw, even a naa bugout 22lr gets a come-along ten round speedstrip).
