I'm new to the Pocket Carry Compact world. Got into it courtesy of the daughter and son in law since the daughter is intimidated by my big guns. Looking to work up a good defense load built around the 115 gr Nosler HP. Recommendations on powder with good velocity and low flash ? We are shooting Glock 43, SIG P365 and S&W Shield 2.0. Thank you in advance !

Welcome to THR.

► You'll want to use modern powder designs.
► Because you're the intended purpose is SD, you'll need a flash suppressant.
► Shot placement will be heavily dependent upon achieving low SD loads during testing.

The only 2 powders I'm aware of that meet those requirements are Alliant BE-86 and VihtaVuori N340.

• May I also suggest you look at the Hybrid Hollow Point from Berry Mfg. You can buy a 250 pack for what a 100 pack of Nosler or Speer will cost. I suggest this because you're going to need that many to complete all your testing.

I shoot the rmr bullets in 115 with 4.0 grains of tightgroup. This is the minimum load but after testing it was the most accurate. The cost of the rmr bullets are cheaper than any lead or Berry's I've seen for jacketed. The multi purpose round is excellent and i just ordered a bag of 1k mini match winners. I also have gone through 1k of the standard round nose.
Very short barrels i like fast powder for more complete burn and less flamethrower going on. Bullseye, and ramshot siloette may also meet your needs well.
