We the People Holsters. Buyer beware

Never had a holster that couldn't drop a glock mag, I have more than 30 holsters I've tried. From full custom down to goofy soft ones. Leather , kydex and hybrids. Some formed from my exact gun. A time or two a year I'll drop a mag or just find it unlatched and can pull it free. Thought about cutting the release down flush, just never have.

What's ironic is that the CZ-75B used to (maybe still does?) come with a mag brake to prevent the loss of a magazine if the magazine release is accidentally activated. A lot of people disable or remove them but maybe CZ knew what it was doing...

I wanted to update this. I finally got in consistent contact with the company and they sent me a new holster. The new one seems to function fine.

They're a semi-new company selling an American made product at an affordable price. I no longer have any complaints.

I have one of their IWB holsters. It is fine for what I use it for.

Interesting discussion...they showed up in my Facebook feed for the first time today. I get that it's tough for a new company to get started in a pretty competitive market like holsters -- but if you want to weather the bumps, you'd better have some top notch customer service to build your reputation. Sounds like some of their employees aren't doing them any favors!

A heat gun and a dowel can fix it in 2 minutes. But, that failure indicates that they're building them with drones and never QC'ing the design with a real gun. They could use a high quality unprepped gun to at least check the fit and modify it as needed before mailing.

Had I done more research on "We The People Holsters" I would never have ordered on May 30, 2020: https://wethepeopleholsters.com/col...-9-fullsize-kydex-owb-concealed-carry-holster and instead of received on June 15th: https://wethepeopleholsters.com/col...-9-fullsize-kydex-iwb-concealed-carry-holster Upon which I have had countless emails back and forth, after proving it is the WRONG item via a photo submission of proof, waiting for the correct item I purchased to be shipped, notified of & a return shipping label. As of July 2, 2020 I have nothing but a useless holster from "We The People Holsters." $40 worth of aggravation that as a retired person with disability, it is needless added pain to cope with. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!

I have one as well. Mine is a IWB for a P365. No complaints about the company or the holster quality. It was as advertised.

One of the good points to Kydex is you can re-mold it at home with heat guns (maybe hot water) and patience. A mis-molded leather holster just IS. But something not right on Kydex can be cut, sanded, or warmed and moved around.

Also to the argument further up: LOTS of holsters are molded with controls in the wrong position (e.g. 1911 holsters molded safety OFF) or bump the mag release. An all too common fix. In the old leather days people would semi-regularly still cut on them, or glue blocks to keep the holster from bumping the mag release. Dunno why a good portion of the holster industry doesn't get this decades later.

My 1911 and HKP30 ride in Fobus paddle holsters. Dunno what plastic material they use. Have no problems so no mods necessary.

Kydex is easy to mod.

Would mod the holster and not the gun if there was an issue.

At the risk of completely derailing the thread, what pistols would those be? Please enlighten me, as I've been buying, shooting but most particularly, carrying concealed or on duty, autoloaders for almost 50 years (well over 100 different pistols) and never had this problem on any pistol. Of course, I do have a predilection for quality firearms, so in that aspect, my experience might be limited.

My Colt Commander was notorious for this! Several times I'd get up and the mag would pop out or I'd remove the gun at the end of the day to find the mag missing, kicking off a search for that mag. IIRC the mag release was stock on that one. I wish I could remember the holster, but it must not have been a good one. A couple times the safety would get wiped off while wearing it, too. My Kimber had this problem as well. The same thing that made mag swaps fast and easy also made the mag less secure in the holster. I had this issue a couple times with a Star BM and my Star PD.

Apropos of nothing I solved all those problems but carrying virtually nothing but HKs. The lever release on the trigger guard has never been accidentally actuated on me in the 25+ years I've owned HKs. Walter makes a few guns with a similar release.
