What is the last gun that you bought?

M1 Carbine. I was sitting at a table at a gun show today selling tickets on a raffle gun for my VFW, and bought a very nice M1 Carbine from a gentleman today. (80 year old Bronze star recipient) AS I WAS COUNTING him out his money, some dude came up, and offered me $100 bucks more for it. Right in front of him.

Nope.

Hour, and a half later...he's back. Bigger offer. I stand to make $400 profit. He really wants an M1 carbine. I didn't even get to shoot it. Said He'll come back tomorrow with the cash. We'll see. One of my bucket list guns, may stay a bucket list gun a while longer, but it's mine tonight....

1100 Trap, two step rib barrels, hard case, way better than average wood. A friend talked me out of it twenty years ago. He recently had aa strok and was lamenting how his shooting days were done. I asked what he'd take and he said ($) what I paid you. I gave him a little extra. I have seven grandkids, several of which have shown an interest in trap, the 13 year old breaking 40+/50 last sumer with my field grade 1100. This one could become hers.
Told them all that If they want to shoot, I will keep them in guns and shells.
BT-99 is lighter for her than an 1100.

Sunday swap meet at the club found me leaving with four safe queens gone (including an unfired 70s Blackhawk convertible) but with a mint Smith 15 and a nice old mini 1911 Llama 22. Interestingly, those were the same as two of my first handguns back in the late fifties. Now to find a good K22.

45 years with the same 870TB, average over the past ten or fifteen years has been 95% at 16 and handicap. Have tried four different 99s, three Citoris. Half a dozen 1100s (they were great when recovering from spinal fusion), a Daley, a 101, and I can't remember what else. I think I grew to fit it and since fit is everything, nothing else feels right.

S&W Performance Center Shield 45.
