Here is an easy question: What is the prettiest gun for you to look at?

Nice but come on.. how about some crest and year shots... :) A luger is one of those guns that one photo is not enough...
I tried, but the camera on my tablet is pretty low res, the pics of the markings were illegible. In any event, its a 1918 DWM Artillery Model which underwent the police rework at Erfurt in 1920, losing its long barrel in the process and gaining the sideplate safety spring, (no mag safety, though.)

Then someone did a really nice hot blue and polish job on it at some point. If only Lugers could tell stories, each could probably fill a book!

Wow sounds nice.. so it is a 1920 double date as well...??? are there police markings on it??

The older I get, the less pretty most safe queens are, and the better looking a high-functioning gun with honest patina is to my eye.

One of the ones that I most enjoy looking at and using these days is this old 1958 BRNO Model 4. The bluing is worn thin in places, the stock has some scuffs and scrapes and areas of thin finish, but it's photogenic and looks better in most photos than it does in person. I love the honest wear that it shows. And best of all, it shoots quarter-inch groups at 50 yards.

Handgun wise, I love the looks of the Browning Medalists because of the design and craftsmanship, how great they feel in hand, how well they work, and how accurate they are.

Cz 550 fs. Something about nice walnut and a mannlicher stock with a CRF action. Good blueing, they are gorgeous...
I also really like revolvers with non fluted cylinders like my old s&w 29. Again, deep blue and great lines... Really like big bore single actions with barrels the same length as the ejector housing too. With real Ivory or horn grips.

I don’t believe I’ve ever seen as pretty a firearm as the 6” blued Colt Python I bought back in the mid ‘70s. I could just stare at it and not believed I actually owned it.
I grew disenchanted with it as a shooter after a couple of years, a weak design, but it was still pretty.

There is definitely some pretty wood here, and I can appreciate them all, but they aren't for me. An M60, 1919, MG42, Stoner 63, I've also got a soft spot for SiG 55X's, HK-9X's & FN's ... about any military related, even a Swiss 1911, Schmidt Rubin or Mauser 98, Krag trapdoor, 1904, M1 & Carbine and of course the Colt 1911 and Browning Hi-Power
