My M&P was really tuned with a trigger which felt much like a 1911. It was also a personal satisfaction project as It's original barrel had a hard time holding 4" at 25 yards. I worked with it until it could hold that at 50 yards...mostly due to the addition of the Apex barrel.

My 320 Compact had the feel of the SIG P-series pistols...my previous carry had been a SIG 228...so there was a certain familiarity. What tipped the scales was the ability to change grip modules from full-sized to subcompact as the situation dictates. It's configuration, prior to installation of the red dot, was the 3.9" barreled Compact slide over an X-Carry (indexes faster) grip module

Walther P99 AS, but just as often, the Sig P6 (I changed the main spring).

Unusual: a Striker-Fired gun in either DA ...or... two types of SA on the first shot.
Yes, three choices for your first trigger pull. This is the main reason I never considered the very similar, superb Walther PPQ (SA only).

There are plenty of threads pertaining to Glocks, 1911s, and single stacks. I started this one to see what else people might be carrying.

I don't know much about the G36, but I do have a p938 sad that I purchased years ago. It's a nice little gun.

Walther P99AS was my double-stack go-to. However, and I’m formally coming out out of the closet right here, right now....I’ve been working my Glock 19 to get right (directionally) and I’ve really found my groove. I’ve been carrying it exclusively and have been doing range-work for a few weeks now. I hate myself for loving it, but like anything different, it took some work.

Mine is a XDM 3.8 compact in 45acp.

Though I carry a LCP2 or a s&w 442 most of the time.

I don't carry but I have a couple interesting 9mm striker polymer wonders: a Walther P99 AS and a recently purchased Grand Power Q100. The Walther is my nightstand gun, the Q100 is a range only tack driver.

Lately I have stopped carrying my single stack Walther in exchange for a large footprint one. Have been carrying my PPQ Q4 for several months and I am up to 3 holsters for it depending on task. This one is my daily carry IWB rig.

The OP was quite clear that he was limiting the discussion in this thread to Non-Glocks...he even explained it more clearly in Post #29.

Apparently the Kool-aid was just too strong for some folks. I've removed all post that violated the OP's request.

Sig Sauer P365
10 in the magazine +1 chamber. Very narrow slide and frame.
Flush or finger grip magazines both conceal very easily IWB at 4 o-clock in a Crossbreed mini-tuk.

I don't use the laser on the TLR-8 anymore after getting the sight. I went with the green dot Holosun so there is a contrast from the red fiber optic sight on the Q4. So far I am liking the combination.

I prefer Cherry. It taste better than Glock.

I've already covered my M&P M2.0 Compact.

But if I can find one I'm seriously considering trying the smaller (Glock 26 Size) Walthe99C AS 9x19mm. I am intrigued by the choice of a long smooth double action (Kahr Like), shorter similar weight (Glock Like) or a short light crisp - ultra short reset (1911 Like) trigger.

The only issue is if I go to it I think it would have to be an exclusive carry gun with the possible exception of the larger P99 AS. No more .45 Shield for summer duty. Manual of arms is just to different.

My every day, off duty carry is a GLOCK 42, since it is GLOCK reliable and very easy to conceal. If I were going to carry something larger, I would probably go with the SPRINGFIELD ARMORY XD9 Sub Compact. I have carried this gun occasionally and used it as a car gun. It has been as reliable as my GLOCK, but requires a hip holster. I have found it to be just as accurate as a mid size pistol and with either a 13 or 16 round magazine, it has plenty of firepower. I used to shoot some of the old service issue +P+ ammo in it, but now just go with standard pressure FEDERAL HST 124 grain jhp. I use this ammo in all my 9m.m. for carry ammo.
The discontinued Springfield Armory XDM9 3.8 with a longer 3.8 inch barrel and same short grip, might be even better, but it is out of production now I believe.

If hammers didn't matter...

The CZ75 compact and similarly "inspired" pistols are very nice. I got a Turkish one for around $300 OTD. It is a very good shooter.

The Taurus G2C is a good pistol for around $200. I have one, as does a family member, and a good friend. They go bang every time and have the same effective accuracy as the G26.

(When in doubt, pay $20 extra for stainless.)

SR9 alien gear IWB carry outfit everyday, Taurus G2 in between console and seat in truck. = Hard to draw from 3 oclock belted in hence Taurus G2.

Okay this thread got me curious about the Walther P99AS Compact. The concept of being able to choose between Double Action Only, Single Action, or DA/SA somewhat intrigued me. So I went looking around online. I think it may have been discontinued.
