What are the guns going to be used for?

Fiber Optic front sights are great for range and day use (like woods carry, for example). But in low light FO seems to disappear pretty easily. Then I'd look at tritium.

Actually, I've found bright red/orange nail polish on a front ramp style sight works better in low light than FO. And that's pretty easy to do.

Range and woods walking.

I guess the question is what are you looking for in a front sight?

I almost bought an LCRx .22 and one of the factors in favor of it was the front sight with the white line up the center. Does yours have that sight?
I did end up buying a S&W model 63 that has the orange fiber optic sight. I honestly do not care for it. If the sun or light is too bright the brilliant orange dot from the front sight washes out the crisp edges of the rear sight and almost appears to offset the sight a bit. That may be because of my glasses or my eyesight.

I am considering changing that sight to a ramp sight with a red insert.

PS: Thanks for editing your title.

I bought Hi-Vis FO pack (green, red, white) for my GP100s. Red works the best for me at the range. Infinitely better than the stock black one for my old eyes. They're pretty inexpensive and very easy to install.

I have a red FO front sight from Dawson Precision on one of my GP100s, which is very nice, and works well with a white box rear sight (such as the stock rear, though I use a Bowen Classic Arms Rough Country).

I think the replacement front sight on my LCR is a Hi-Viz in green FO. It's okay. Certainly better than the standard ramp.
