Hi gang,

I'm wanting to paint a rifle stock for an M1A in 3 color desert, and I can't find two of the colors I need. They are #8148 Sand Dune, and #8142 Brown. I've checked all the vendors around here, and none of them carry them, or can order them.

I've also checked online, and I can find them by the case, but really don't need 24 cans of each. I'd like to have a couple of each if I could find them.

Anybody got a source, or a substitute? I'm looking for these colors particularly, as they are ultra flat, and not as likely to show glare.

Thanks,

I don't know the Krylon answer, but as a substitute, Rustoleum (sp?) makes various colors of camo. I use their flat OD green (I don't know what it is actually called as I am currently out) to touch up ammo cans. Our local Home Depots carry the camo Rustoleum.

The local hardware in town carries them, but they're more than $5 a can.... which is why I don't have any.

Go to your local hobby shop and scan the paint lines for camo spray paint. Every color used by every country is usually available and the damn stuff sticks like epoxy paint on most surfaces because it is design to go on slick plastic surfaces...

Wal-Mart might have them. That's where I got my OD green and black.

I'd buy you some desert colors and mail them to you, but desert colors aren't offered in Virginia. Not much use for them here.:D
