So a friend asked if I still had the Saiga AK47 in 308 NATO with 16" barrel. I bought it new, had it legally converted to standard pistol grip configuration and refinished in Duracoat. It has the side rail, Galil style Ace folding stock, Ergo pistol grip and 5 or 6 20 round mags. Only been shot twice. What is the prices for these now that Russian imports are banned? My friend is possibly interested.

I can find the Saiga 308s around here for $1,000 from time to time, but I think we are a little bit lower than a good portion of the country on them.

I think real market right now on that is around 900-1000

That's one tough Saiga! Usually, first shot will do them in ... :D

I liked mine, regret selling it ... Like my Norinco NHM-91 ... And AKs ... And SKS ... And Norinco 1911 ... And Makarov ... And CZ52 ... And Tokarev ... And German P226 ... And ... :(

If you have the paperwork on the conversion from a reputable AK smith/builder it will increase the value, otherwise it’s just your word on who did what to it and will sell for less as it will be considered a DIY conversion, probably $700 to $800, closer to the $700 if it’s going to a friend, but that’s just my opinion.

I would be surprised that Saga 308 is still under 1K. I sold my 2 Vepa 308s before the import ban and the prices were above $900, but I don't pay much attention to the AK 308 market anymore. I still have a Zastava M77 308 RPK. I like the M77 adjustable gas.

just pick up a 16 inch with 3 mags for $750.00 also has SM13 v scope mount trigger is ALG defense .

I don’t think I’ve seen a Saiga bring less than 1k in the last 2 years in any caliber in my area. I’d say .308 commands a bit of a premium but that’s just me.

Wow. I have a Saiga in 7.62x39. I would happily sell for $1000.00. Converted to accept AK mags with feed ramp. I prefer factory stock to pistol grip. I doubt I will find any takers.
