Wow, Walmart even got rid of pistol caliber reloading components.

Had to go to the evil Walmart to get something for my daughter and thought I'd stop by the gun section to see how sad it was.

I used to buy most of my reloading supplies there since they had a decent selection of Hornady bullets and CCI primers.

Not anymore.

The space on the shelf where the pistol primers were was bare, and they had a clearance tag marking them down to $1 per 100. Somebody got a fantastic deal on primers.

And all of the Hornady bullets were gone and replaced with Speer rifle varieties.

Hard to believe that they took such a hard stance against handguns.

But since they also got rid of the evil .223 and 7.62 rounds, why didn't they also get rid of the bullets and primers for those?

I popped in the other day, looking for some WWB in .38 Special. It took me a minute to realize that all the handgun calibers were gone. Oh, well — my money went to someone else!

Given the stance WMart taken ; I'd me more surprised if they actually continued with handgun ammo reloading supplies.

My guess - they have not finished selling off previously existing inventory. You will probably see that when it's gone , no restock.

Check out my thread "so I took the plunge into 45ACP" in the reloading section. There is a lot of great recommendations from members on where to get reloading supplies. I too have usually bought locally but it seems even the big hunting stores are not keeping hardly any stock on hand. If you are ever in Cle Elum WA, there is an awesome store called Three Forks Ammo. They have anything you could want for reloading plus expert advice.

None of the Wal-Marts in my area *ever* had reloading supplies. It must have been a regional thing.
Probably left over from when Sam ran the show. Even if he and his DID destroy many-few main streets, he knew the score.

Todd.

None of the Wal-Marts in my area ever carried any reloading components. Rifle or pistol. Last time I stopped by the gun counter at mine, I scored a 100 round box of Winchester NATO 9mm for $6.

And some of the vendors (MBC, RMR, Optics Planet) offer 5% THR discount (Ask fellow members for the discount codes - Optics Planet 5% THR discount code is THRFORUM on $50+ orders)

Enjoy! :)

I was always surprised to find reloading supplies at various Walmart’s when traveling. I never saw them with a 100 mile radius of me.

Few years ago, Walmart had a lot of reloading equipment on their website. Dies, presses, measures, tumblers, molds, etc. I was amazed to see how much they had and was really pleased to see it, but sometime last year they started removing a lot of that stuff and after the El Paso shooting, it disappeared.

They've gone completely anti and I'm not too keen on buying as much on their website as I once was. The physical store I still go to for certain things, not much choice.
