Are there any shooting related tv shows that I'm missing?
Hunting
Shooting
Camping
Off-road
Fishing
?
....that I'm missing?
Of all the channels that we now have access to through Direct TV, Netflix, Roku, Amazon Prime, etc.....all I watch is RFDTV, Fox, Travel, and the cooking channel.
Does anybody have any good shooting type shows? We also have a smart TV, so YouTube stuff is available also.
What are you guys watching?

We have a good local one after the Sunday night news on KARE-11, Minnesota Bound. Now that I have a ROKU, I don't get some of the Outdoorsy channels anymore. I always thought the shows on the Outdoor Channel were basically 30 minute commercials anyway. I like watching specific channels on You Tube anyway; Warrior Poet Society, Colion Noir, Hickok 45, Guns America with Clay Martin, Hunt the Rackett, etc.

You Tube would be best. The Sportsman channel supposedly has shooting shows, but in my area you have to get the sports package with our local cable provider, and I'm not into sports. The Outdoor channel has gun shows on Wednesday nights. Shooting Gallery, Gun Stories, Guns and Ammo, American Rifleman, and Shooting USA.

YouTube for me, a conservative estimate of my tv viewing is 95% YouTube. I even have a Patron account with several. Not so much hunting but several gun channels, blacksmithing, boat building, tool restoration and mechanics working on old trucks or machinery. Some cooking if the cook is pretty enough. :)

I used to watch the Sportsman Channel (until I changed my cable package. I had to cut back on the expenses). There were lots of gun-related programs on it -- Gun Stories, Gunny Time, Guns & Ammo TV, etc.

Most are pretty lame. Not a lot of "reality" as the hero gets in his blind, sees a buck, shoots the buck and collects it after ten minutes of commercials. I'm getting jaded. I'd rather sit in my tower and photo shoot deer, turkey, yotes and whatever for real. T.V. has lost my interest. Tiffany is still cute, but...

Heres some Reality hunting of Caribou, sort of, yesterday Farmer. Youtube is a nice place if your not into, or, like me, dont have a TV.

Im just getting the hang of transferring old media to the youtube and crappy internet dont help none at all....

Look up "meat eater" with Steve Rinella, great hunting show. Tons on YouTube.

In my (short) caribou hunting experience, 4 years in Western AK, it consisted of driving all day on the snowmobile in waaaaaay too cold temperatures and not seeing anything but moose (out of season/unit) and fox.

Still fun and afterwards my wife would have the wood stove roaring and some tasty salmon chowder and fresh bread (never rises as well as it sittin' next to the wood stove) ready.

It’s kind of funny in a way.
Back when I was a young’n and there were three networks along with maybe two or three local independents there were some good hunting shows. The one that sticks in my mind the best was Wild Cargo, hosted by the late Arthur Jones. That was the show that featured a clip of him killing an African elephant with a stock 1911 by shooting it point blank behind the ear. The cameraman had some guts as well because he was so close behind Jones blood could be seen spattering on the lens.

“Top shot”. And “Hollywood guns” are the two I most enjoyed. Never acquired the taste for watching hunting documentaries

Gun Stories is the only one I watch any more. It is informative & educational without being an infomercial. Last night Joe Montegna covered the advances from match lock & wheel lock through flint lock & percussion cap. I enjoyed it.
