I've had an account at Midway for a few months & got an email last week saying that I could get 10% off any order for my birthday. Been thinking about a Lee Breech Lock Classic Cast Press lately, so I went for it @ $117.00. Pretty good deal.
I also got 1000 rounds of Aguila .22 Super Extra for $37.00, plus an assortment of accessories all @ that 10% off. Wife didn't even get me a birthday card, but it was still a pretty good day !

I put things in my Wish List on Midway and put in a big order when the Birthday Discount shows up. I'm often amazed at the amout of discount I get. Just remember, they only let you do it once these days. I started with that about 2009 and you could use it for about a week then. They gave you a range of dates that it was good for. Sadly not anymore.

Happy Birthday!

Dave

Same here.

I have items that I don't need right away put on the wish list along with another list I keep for Black Friday sales and do last minute price comparison before I place my orders.

Now that increasing number of vendors like Home Depot and many gun/accessory/component manufacturers and retailers offer Black Friday sales in July, along with Amazon Days, I don't have to wait so long to buy the items needed or to stock up on consumables - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...ponents-on-sale.707473/page-178#post-11161685

I found this out the hard way last year on my birthday. The email I received gave me a range of dates the discount was good, but failed to mention it was for a single order only. When I went back to order more items during the birthday pricing window the discount didn't work anymore.

Sorry to hear that!
My wife baked me a Rockfish for my birthday!
Down in the south, it don’t get no better than that!
I don’t need a card! I never found cards that flavorful anyway! 2843FB48-0E90-4196-99EC-C717C8E1C87F.jpeg

Me too, even carrying fishing gear now. My Goto folks as without fail at my door in 3 days. I even pay a bit more for service like that.

I've seen a lot of products that Midway has a better price than Amazon. I'm starting to really like Larry !

I've been a Midway customer so long, I remember having to dial the phone (which probably shows you how old I am...) and talk to the nice lady on the other side, and having all those 6-digit catalog numbers written down ready to go. Midway is my go-to, but these days I shop them, comparing particularly the shipping costs, but also the items. They have one of everything, for sure, but sometimes you can save a good bit of money elsewhere.

I dropped Amazon Prime because I was finding better deals on other sites with free shipping.

Midway's prices have gone up quite a bit in recent years but if you can catch a sale, they typically have a good deal.

Yep, Midway has good service and I have taken advantage of the birthday discount several times. The free shipping on $49 is a nice touch as well.

I buy from them frequently, and have never gotten the offer. Do you have to bribe somebody? Or do they just not like my hairstyle? Maybe it's the pierced ear.

Like some others have mentioned, I keep a lot of things in my wish list and wait for the birthday pricing. This year, my order was over $500. However, the percentage of discount varies depending on the item, a few of the things I wanted did not have a discount at all, some things were well over 20%.

I have only used it once, and not even for me truthfully. A coworker needed some stuff to put together a gun that his dad had kept around for years, and somebody took it apart when his dad aged and of course some parts were never found. I used the discount to get all of his stuff a bit cheaper, and then I added in a couple items just to cross over into free shipping territory. The gun he had been told would be $100 to reassemble plus parts
Ended up costing him $50 including parts...and he wouldn’t take money for my couple items since I saved him money by buying more stuff. It got a trigger job and hammer shims while I had it in pieces, not to mention mud polishing the rust out of the hammer pivot hole... that old SAA was a serious shooter when I got it back to him. I think it was maybe a Hawes.

Maybe this year I can use it again. Just gotta wait til Christmas to get the offer and hopefully have some spare cash.
