I am researching the value for him, but I already have a Lake fixed blade from that era and an interframe (stunned by the current realized prices on the early interframes) so I'll let someone else pay the thousands it will bring. My buddy will donate the money to his favorite animal shelter and Knife Rights.
 
Somewhere around here I have a copy of "how to make folding knives" by Lake, Clay and Centofante. It shows in pretty good detail how each one of them makes a lockback knife in their own style. All 3 sections are good, but the section by Ron Lake was my favorite. Those interframe knives are just amazing. It hadn't ever occurred to me to look Lake up and see what other styles of knives he makes, thanks for sharing that Bowie.
