and walked out with a gun.
I've been kinda interested in these since they first came out. Handled a few and shot one, but with those I felt the loading gates were too stiff and the triggers were heavy as well. Stopped at a local gun store to pick up some primers the other day, and saw a silver Wrangler in the used gun case. Trigger felt good, loading gate was smooth, and everything looked good overall other than a shallow scratch/scuff in the Cerakote of the barrel.
I picked it up for $163 after taxes with original box and papers.
Put a couple cylinders through it in the back yard to check function. It shoots well and the trigger breaks consistently at 4.5lb with no creep. I'll have to get used to the action/hammer, as I keep trying to bring it to half cock to load/unload like my Colt Frontier Scout.
My 12 year old spent some time ringing the steel at 25 yards and shot a few cylinders at paper at 15 yards. He absolutely loves it! It's a fun little gun to shoot and is plenty accurate.
I also like that it's so simple for him to load and shoot. He's liked shooting my Colt for the last few years, but the 2 clicks, load 1 skip 1 load 4, and then full cock and lower the hammer has always been a bit cumbersome for him.
He is much happier with "Open the loading gate, load 6, close the loading gate"
