I'm curious if anyone is willing to carry a gun such as this, with a clip, in a pocket or IWB, with a round in the chamber, and no other trigger cover.

I'm not willing to do it. This is actually my backup gun, which is carried chamber empty. It just seems too easy to accidentally hit the trigger in some way.

I am wondering, with no round in the chamber, if the pocket clip makes chambering a round clumsy. I might use one otherwise, though would want to make sure my panty lint and and butt hay didn't get into the works. I think I'll stick with my kydex IWB.

As I said, it's a BUG for me. But it's easy to rack a round in. I can actually rack it with the rear sight on my belt. I've practiced it at the range a time or two. But it can also be done with the support hand fairly quickly too. I did a couple timed dry fire drills like that just to check.

My first thought was how will you rack the slide if your strong hand is severely injured. Looks like you’ve thought about it and practice for it. I still like a pocket gun in a pocket holster for my BUG, with one in the chamber, but with a safety. I normally would never want a safety but live with it for a BUG, and train with it.

Not for me. I'd consider it with a gun that had a heavy (think, real double-action) trigger, like a RM380 or PPK/S, or maybe a hybrid-DAO, like a Kel-Tec PF9.

If I had a weapon system so dangerous I had to carry it chamber empty, I wouldn't carry it.

System includes holster. So, no. I know people do, I don't get it. I assume/hope they all have things like the trigger guard cover. Even if it doesn't come off automatically, it's easier to remove as a second action than racking the slide. Get the cover in a bright color if they offer it, to help remind you or find it afterwards.

Many very, very, very small holsters exist. And I find guns uncomfortable! I tried AIWB with a trigger guard cover with clip, no go. I like being comfy. I even add adhesive suede to the backs of my kydex, add on more sweat guards to keep the gun from poking me.

I almost went with one of those clips and then all sorts of scenarios started running through my had. I wound up just going with a Remora, which is essentially a fitted pouch/holster that will accommodate a light. When I first saw it at a gunshow, I thought it was a joke. I just sort of smirked at the guy as I was walking by and he was selling his wares. So, he saw that I had my Kahr tucked into my pants, just because my hand were full and he offered to let me try one out and walk around with it. Turned out to be covered on the outside with these little grippy dots. After walking around with it, I went back and bought it. I've been using it for a few months now and I love it. It actually stays where you put it. The trigger is covered, its comfortable and moving it from one location to another is easy. It also makes getting dressed a little easier.

I think that's intended to be used with a MIC style (trigger guard only) holster, you tie it off to a belt loop or whatever and it pulls the guard free on draw. I do that if I pocket carry, which is infrequent.

I do have one of those. But it's just more "stuff" in my waistband. So I rarely bother.

However, I would absolutely use it and carry with one in the chamber if it were my primary gun.

I have carried like that many times in the past. It is safe, but the gun is not as secure as in a proper holster. After a while those clips break in my experience. Just keep that trigger guard on it and all is safe. Essentially the trigger is in a holster with it.

Your back-up until it becomes your primary.

Get a real holster. Watching your pistol skate across the floor of a grocery store ain't much fun.

Has that happened to you? I've carried this gun with the clip quite a bit, and that's never been even somewhat of a concern. It stays put.

Nope. But I've had pistols get loosened up, by tactical hugs on multiple occasions.

All of my holsters must reach over the nose of the pistol from now on, except for my Crossbreed with my G23. Because bumping the nose of the pistol, sends it loose.

Nope. I'd have a trigger guard cover on it, like the MIC shown above, or the one Clipdraw sells to pair with the gun clip:

I’ve tried these and I have to say, for me they are about the clumsiest way to carry I have ever tried.

Look at you own pictures. At how high you have to draw to clear the cover from the trigger. And for me my grip was always getting fouled up with the string. I’ve tried a lot of holsters setups. This one never made it past the front door. There is no way this thing is going to be faster or more comfortable than a holster.

In my opinion, if you want to carry without a holster, get a gun with a thumb safety, get a 1911.

I still would use a holster 100% of time. Holsters come in so many different sizes and types there is no reason not to use one. I’ve even used just a standard Uncle Mike’s pocket type holster that’s not even sticky and has no clip and slid my gun into it and carried IWB 3~4 o’clock with no problem. At least the trigger was covered.

This is exactly what I d with my G42..I also carry it while riding a bicycle, into the rear jersey pocket but w/o one in the chamber.
BTW-when I use a holster(Disanti) with G26or G42, I carry with one n the chamber.

Doesn't for me, G42..BUT, I use it when I can't use a more normal 'holster', as mentioned, when riding my bicycle or clothes means it has to be deeper concealed than my IWB holster can provide. Or in a pocket.
