I finally picked up this Pocket-Target 22. Seems to be a 1970 model. Has a bit of holster wear, but not much turn line on the cylinder and it is mechanically sound. I snugged up two of three screws, gave it some oil where needed, and test fired it this afternoon.

Whomever owned it before me sighted it in perfectly. What a mighty fine trigger it has, so easy to shoot well for a small frame 3" barreled revolver!

Hmmm...looks like my Pathfinder. Perhaps Pocket Target was the earlier name for the Pathfinder

From what I've read, you are correct.

"1970 - Pathfinder Revolver (known as .22 Pocket Target early on) - .22 long rifle - 6 shot - available with a 3” barrel, adjustable rear sight
  • 1970 - Renamed to Pathfinder in September of 1970"

This here is my first firearm from many moons ago...a very old and loved nickle plated Charter Undercover.

I believe that I bought it for $140. This was a well loved, old boot gun that my father had bought off of a retired police buddy of his. I traded it off and sadly, never once shot the thing. To this day it is the one firearm that I regret getting rid of. Not necessarily because of the functionality of it...but more so the history and the fact that it was my first firearm.

Saw one that looked like that in a gun shop when I was picking up a GunBroker win (S&W odel 67-1.) The finish was real nice and not worn at all. The gun was real pretty, but its price was above even a negotiate start point, and I already have three other UCs.

I don't know what it is, but I've always been drawn to Charter Arms (the original vintage, pre-charco).
The three inch undercover I got lucky on. Walked into a local Gander Outdoors they day they decided to close so the word had not gotten around yet. Used guns were 30% off and it brought the price with tax under $200. The gun is also a Bridgeport manufacture.

Next is a pathfinder. A new local range was built in my city and they don't tend to do very much on used, older guns. Their used guns tend to be bought cheap or over priced consignment. They had the pathfinder listed for $150 plus tax. I couldn't get my wallet out fast enough.

Third in line is a six-shot police bulldog with a factory bobbed hammer.

Fourth is a target bulldog with its factory box that unfolds into a display case.

Fifth is a standard undercover with a factor bobbed hammer.

Finally is a standard undercover. I was looking on gunbroker and came across a set of OHA Mustang Walnut grips NIB for a great price. Figured why not dress up one my undercovers.

A 3" barrel on an adjustable sighted six shot .38 built on the midsized Bulldog frame makes it custom.

They build the same gun in a 5 shot .357, but I wanted a sixth round and +P .38 is fine for my wife and daughter.

They market a 6 shot .38 with fixed sights and a 2.2" barrel; a 6 shot .38 with a 4" barrel and fixed sights; a 3" .357 mag with adj sights but it is a 5 shot, and a 4" .357 mag with adj sights 6 shot but it is built on the XL frame.

This gun will be about the size of a 3" Ruger SP101 but will be lighter, have 6 rounds and an adjustable sight. I'm really looking forward to handling it today.

A 6 inch .357 Stratford that I got last year, unfired in box, and a 4 inch .357 with a pretty purple blued frame that I call Purple Pain.

I also have the .32 Professional, but that thing has the problem sights and doesn't deserve a place in this thread.

I'd love to see a better pic of that 6" gun. She looks like she's trying to hide her true form in that pic.

Yeah, but all your missing is what the end of the barrel looks like. It's the frame and grip that matter most.
