Newly introduced Dan Wesson DWX

Hope to see one sooner rather than later... It just seems like the best evolution of the 1911 type pistol you could ask for.

I'm startled it took this long. Especially with all of the $4500 2011's out there with larger, rounder, billet grip frames, selling faster than the custom shops can build them. Up to a one year waiting list now???

My single stack 1911 has a grip as wide as my Glock 34, to fit my hand. Someone should have made a double stack 1911 with an A1 MSH shaped frame a long time ago.

Happy I got impatient and bought the Wilson EDC X9 when this thing took too long to get into my hands (I was interested in the compact). I'll still check one out whenever I get a chance (my local shop carries lots of CZ so I'm sure I'll see one before too long) but I'm so happy with my Wilson I can't see buying another essentially the same gun.

The new Staccato C2 also looks promising as a double stack 9mm SAO that's Glock 19ish size.

I've seen a few reliability complaints on that, over various forums. Seems like getting mags to work can be a problem for some.

Sounds like pretty typical STI complaints. Mags are quite expensive as well.

I'm pretty sure this new DW will be a smash it.

I'm not a competition guy, but I can't think of a better home defense gun. The weight is an advantage too. I need the ability to add a red dot though.

Please stop dangling these things in front of me.
It's okay, the factory is shut down due to WuFlu.
